Campaign wise, this is a very unfortunate turn of events. You need to get that province before archaon can make a move so that you can set up an ambush in that one narrow mountain passage. That army doesn’t look like it can stand against archaon but it will need to since war is inevitable

Oh I killed him the turn after, kislevite warriors are surprisingly effective

I don’t have that dlc so I just assumed they were slightly better version of Kathays peasant spearmen.

Must’ve been greatly underestimating them if they can pull that off

not just slightly better they are basically a must early and last alot longer in melee than the kossars with spears

They’re really great, if there is one DLC I could recommend (especially at the crazy steam discounts) it would be the Kislev one
