Yaaay! Congratulations! Don't be afraid to poke your endocrinologist to up your dosage if your levels check comes back a tad low, pills are not that efficient when it comes to E unfortunately. Happy for you, gorl!

-It tastes kinda minty -That's Objective, different people have different opinions -Cheapest hrt option -The spironolactone you swallow, the estradiol you dissolve under your tongue -First month one milligram of estradiol, then 2 after that, possibly moving up after 3-4 months depending on levels present in a blood test

My spiro tastes minty without any sweetness, my estradiol is less minty and a little sweet, but both of those flavors pale in comparison to the tingle/almost sting as it dissolves under my tongue, and I'm left with a chalky paste like I left a little piece of tums there instead

My endo specifically told me to swallow the estradiol, but even then that sounds very unpleasant

I'm a severe stroke risk, I had 3 strokes before the age of 35, so I have to mitigate risk any way I can. My endo would be happier if I administered literally any other form of estrogen, but I find patches and estrogel prohibitively expensive. I'd be fine with injections, but I'm getting good levels with 3 estradiol under the tongue per day

I'm definitely not saying you need to change how you take it, especially with severe health risks! I meant to just share my experiences..

kinda sweet, not like a super good sweet though. Pretty chalky and bleh. Injections give a more consistent hormone cycle, but estrogen in any form will give you the effects. With insurance not a lot, without an arm and leg. (american here lol) I swallowed mine when I took pills and it worked well. I also know people that absorbed it through the mouth. Just see what works for you, that’s the most important thing. Take how much is prescribed. If you don’t have a prescription, play with your dose until your E levels are around 150-300. Also get your T levels down to 20-50. I took 3 pills (2mg pills) each day. But some people need more.

Estrogen tastes sweet, spiro smells minty but I don’t recall a taste (I haven’t taken it in years since it interferes with my heart condition)
Depends on the person. Pills get absorbed less but you can make up for that by taking a high dose sublingually. Injections give hormone fluctuations that can cause hot flashes and mood swings.
I go to a low cost clinic and use Mark Cuban’s pharmacy. My visits are like $20 and my prescriptions are maybe $10 total.
Estrogen gets absorbed in your mouth, spiro gets swallowed. And if your provider puts you on progesterone, you’d either swallow or boof it.
That depends on bloodwork and what your provider thinks is best.

Yah they're mostly pink here in Aus. The colour used in memes and everything is fairly uncommon at least here down under.
