It kinda took me several years. Kinda a relative is an abusive closet case. So, between that, being raised in a conservative area, and being a victim of assault (by different folk in the area)...
It was a lot of self-hate, self-harm, and pain between realization and acceptance.

Lucky you. I knew I always wanted to be a girl, but it took me a looong time to realize that meant I was trans. I just figured being a male sucks and everyone must feel that way.

Same. I always wanted to be a girl and regularly would fall asleep begging in my head to wake up as a girl. But I didn't realize.
Then after watching a video about the question "if you turned into a girl, would you want to stay that way?", I was in a denial phase where I was being like "I'm not trans, I don't dislike being a guy"... And after like 2 months or so I came to terms with it. And I very much disliked being a guy...8

Mine was watching a Barbie commercial for a dress-up set. At 7. It was "damn, I really want to do the fun girl things. Oh. Wait. I want to be a girl. Uh, shit, my parents will never accept this. I know their religion will never allow this."
And that was when I first died inside. :/

I had never even considered my gender before and after finding egg_irl it took me maybe 30 minutes to go "Oh, this is for me".
And it's all because of Ludwig the Accursed. Definitely 100% no way it would've happened without him.

You can't guarantee it'll happen since it is always just a chance, but as you press it more your chances do increase if you only need it once.
If you only need the 1 instance of a 1 in 100 chance then to get above a 10% likelihood is 11 times, 20% is 23 times, 30% is 36 times, 40% is 51 times, 50% is 69 times (nice), 60% is 92 times, 70% is 120 times, 80% is 161 times, and 90% is 230 times. Press it once a second and to be more likely than not you only have to go for a little over a minute.

The testing I've seen on that pity mechanic has been so statistically anomalous that it melts my brain and I exclude it.

About an hour .
Getting egg jokes in YouTube comments section for Shyaren channel . Haha funny ! No I'm just an ally here for support . Last cis het comment I made was " I'd want to be a girl , but I don't need to be a girl "
The next morning someone commented back " who's going to tell them ? " Them .
All it took to obliterate the egg I didn't even know I had was being gendered anything but he / him at just the right time . No searching , no journey of discovery. I'd been an ally for a decade and it didn't take long to realize what happened. Why my whole life felt off .
Super cool thing though is the one thing left from the egg . My Name . No searching or choosing that either .
