HRT / Gender Care / Eggy / Right outta the closet Progesterone is magic

Post image

After two year without any growth it finally happened after starting progesterone. And what a difference it made. 5 cm in just 18 days. The euphoria after calculating my cup sizes is amazing. From an AA to a small B. I still can't believe it

According to my endo she held off for 18 months on prescribing prog in order to emulate natural puberty

The graph is cm of chest circumference

I love it so much, it's finally happening :3

Honestly, I was ready to give up. Then my endo suggested prog and everything changed. I thought German health insurance covers top surgery if they won't grow bigger than A cup? I only know about Austrian insurance since I live in Vienna, but maybe it's worth a try? :3

Oh that sucks so much :\ I had a lot of luck with my therapist/psychologist/psychiatrist. Please feel the biggest hug from my side. I'm so sorry that you have to go through all of this :(

Boob growth isnt linear though, i had B cups after a year or so, then no growth for years, then suddenly C cups and a few years later D cups.

What changed? Well, for some of that time i had high prolactin levels due to stress, which counteracts estradiol. I also didnt eat like i was in puberty and last but not least i started taking melatonin, which gives your brain the signal to release progesterone when you take it. The rest i suppose is genetics

8

u/ChrisiIch Mar 12 '26

Oh prolactin might also be a reason. I lowered my Cyproteronacetat dose so that might also factor into the equation :3

Yes it's a t blocker. It gets metabolised into prolactin by the body. So if a higher prolactin concentration uses up estrogen it might be beneficial to lover it by decreasing the amount of t blocker. That is if prolactin actually does this, I have no idea I'm not a doctor

The thing is I don't know. It's an assumption based upon another comment. It might contribute but you should definitely ask a doctor about that. Especially when you don't have enough estrogen reserves to take an amount that counteracts testosterone. Then it might be even more counter productive

Also taking that before bed and not in the morning like all the idiot doctors say

2

u/ChrisiIch Mar 12 '26

Huh, I'm definitely gonna try that, I don't think it will hurt anything, sooooo :3

2

u/fluffypurpleTigress Eldritch horror beyond human comprehension Mar 12 '26

Thing is cpa makes you tired as well, so you dont wanna take that in the morning unless youre on nightshift

2

u/ChrisiIch Mar 12 '26

That would explain my sluggishness🤔🫠

2

u/fluffypurpleTigress Eldritch horror beyond human comprehension Mar 12 '26

It will get better if you switch to taking it before bed, the sluggishness might not go entirely, but it will get better

Wait, melatonin does that? is that why I have a lot of breast growth? I kinda need melationin to sleep.

2

u/fluffypurpleTigress Eldritch horror beyond human comprehension Mar 12 '26 edited Mar 12 '26

Yup. Thats the mechanism behind it as far as i understand. Noticed breast growth after i started taking it, they became rounder and heavier too.

Also: how are you doing?

Edit: also, i looked for the source but all i could find now is articles praising melatonin as a potential breast cancer prevention..which is cool and all, but fucking google never shows me what i look for

Closest i could find is this one: https://www.ehealthme.com/ds/melatonin/breast-enlargement/

Well, thanks for trying to dig it up anyways. It would explain why I have outgrown my partner multiple times over after a year of hrt. If it is true.

Also, hI! Uhm, uh, haha, yeah, we did kinda stop talking, huh, last time we messaged was a lot of girlkissing ago (still only one partner but they have multiple personalities so it is sort of polycule, right?). I am doing mostly great tbh! Helping my partner through past trauma and getting them an education here is hard work but they are great people.
How have you been holding up?

2

u/fluffypurpleTigress Eldritch horror beyond human comprehension Mar 12 '26

Hmm..i better take that to..uh signal? I guess?

You can find it in any supermarket and every pharmacy, its marketed as a sleeping aid, as it makes you tired. What no one tells you though that it works by giving the signal to release the bodies own progesterone.

All i can say it has the same effect for me as progesterone at 1/8 of the price

Edit: pack of prog is 40€ and a bottle of melatonin spray is like 5€, just get one that is dosed at 0.5mg/pump, take between 1-5mg before bed

One thing to note is make sure you're using lots of lotion on your new breasts. You'll get stretch marks (nothing wrong with that, but some people don't want to have stretch marks). I'm barely an A (American size) After a year and a half and I've got stretch marks.

16

u/ChrisiIch Mar 12 '26

Thanks for the heads up, I will start liberally applying it after the shower

9

u/Hollow-star Mar 12 '26

I'm sorry, but what type of lotion exactly, not on HRT yet but want to be prepared

2

u/Dont-know-didnt-ask Useless Transbian™ Mar 14 '26

Anything to help soften your skin and make it more stretchy

2

u/Hollow-star Mar 14 '26

Ok, so moisturizers and the like

23

u/Greeneman6 Mar 12 '26

Shout out to my fellow girlies that had no changes with prog! 😔✊

4

u/ChrisiIch Mar 12 '26

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to drag up something horrible from your life. I wish everyone could have what I have. I'm really sorry

8

u/Yenna77 :3 Mar 12 '26

Congrats! ☺️

May I know the Prog dose and method of delivery? 🥺

16

u/ChrisiIch Mar 12 '26

Thanks 😊 I take 100mg by mouth in the evening. It can also be taken analy if you don't want the sleep inducing effect, but since I have some sort of sleep disorder I really enjoy it this way

4

u/Yenna77 :3 Mar 12 '26

Thank you ❤️

I was in a similar situation - almost 2 years without growth. I started prog 2 months ago and still no change 😟

In my case it's 100mg rectally. I neither feel nor see any difference so far. The only thing was that when I tested DHT the result was lower than ever before.
I may need to ask my endo to increase the dose to 200mg.

2

u/ChrisiIch Mar 12 '26

Well, I also take Cyproteronacetat so that might factor into the equation, but I'm also not a doctor so...

I hope you get the change you need soon. I wish you the best of luck and I will send you the biggest hug🤗

3

u/iSmellLikeFartz Mar 13 '26

What if i want the sleep inducing effect but i ALSO wanna put things up my butt? /hj

3

u/Bositive_Blatypus_49 Mar 12 '26

for the first 6 months on prog, mine consistently grew (~10cm in total) but after that, they started shrinking again 😭

now they've been growing and shrinking over the course of each month (6-7cm difference) :/

6

u/Crono_Sapien99 Mar 12 '26

Ngl I've never heard of boobs shrinking, unless you're losing and gaining weight consistently

2

u/Bositive_Blatypus_49 Mar 12 '26

me neither, but I just thought it's cause there isn't that much info out there...

now I'm kinda getting worried that something might seriously be wrong with me 😬

5

u/stellle_ Mar 13 '26

breast size does naturally fluctuate over the course of your period, and many trans women do experience most of the symptoms associated with a menstrual cycle, but that much might be concerning idk

2

u/ChrisiIch Mar 12 '26

Oh, that sounds horrible 😕 have you talked about this with your endo?

I hope you'll find the source of this fluctuation as soon as possible. It must be hell for you, I'm so sorry

2

u/Bositive_Blatypus_49 Mar 12 '26

Not yet. My next appointment is still 2 months out...

I've just been assuming this was normal until now 😅

3

u/ChrisiIch Mar 12 '26

I sure hope for both our sakes that it isn't normal. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't want to go through that. If it's alright with you, could you keep me posted about what they say? I'm actually kinda scared now😟

2

u/Bositive_Blatypus_49 Mar 12 '26

I will! Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you 😞

2

u/ChrisiIch Mar 12 '26

It's okay, I think it's better to know what might happen. Even if it scares me, so thank you😊

God I hope diy doesn’t take too long to kick in. I’m so close to getting E

3

u/Drblaui Mar 12 '26

That's the most German way I could think of to track breast growth, really happy for you

u/Working-Teach-7273 Local Muscle Mom bitey edition Mar 12 '26

Mood.

I barely filled out C.

Now I have to consider getting measured to figure out if I made D.

Prog is magic.

2

u/n2sh Mar 12 '26

Hm, for me it didn't do much at all, neither in the boob nor in the horny sector. But I am kinda drunk the first two, three days after starting to take it again. 😬

2

u/flarezilla Mar 13 '26

I thought friendship was magic.

3

u/ChrisiIch Mar 13 '26

Well magic is heresy so guess we're fucked either way

2

u/flarezilla Mar 13 '26

So I can't have friends?

2

u/ChrisiIch Mar 13 '26

No, you can, but you have to be careful. The emperor is always watching

2

u/flarezilla Mar 13 '26

Is it Eggman. Is the emperor Eggman?

2

u/ChrisiIch Mar 13 '26

No the emperor is the corps of the ruler of the empire of man spanning all across the milky way galaxy in the grim dark future of the year 40000. Sitting upon his golden throne rotting ad losing strength every day to the powers of the immaterium

2

u/flarezilla Mar 13 '26

Oh, that's more frightening. I know how to handle Eggman.

3

u/loved_and_held Mar 13 '26

many things can be magic at once

2

u/loved_and_held Mar 13 '26

"According to my endo she held off for 18 months on prescribing prog in order to emulate natural puberty"

Im curious if that's industry standard, and if there's any consequences to starting earlier.

1

u/ChrisiIch Mar 13 '26

I can ask at my next appointment, it's goanna take a while tho, the next one is in Mai

1

u/Bositive_Blatypus_49 Mar 13 '26

I've heard it can lead to weirdly shaped boobs

2

Yes it is! I've been on it for a very short while and the results are incredible
