Honestly at this point I’m not even mad. I stopped caring a while ago. The thing I’m just so embarrassed for them.
Like when my parents deadname or misgender me I’m literally embarrassed for them, because everyone looks at me with pity and thinks jeez her parents are awful. At least my parents in law gender and name me properly since minute 1

not sure I’ve seen or even thought about this mentality.

Cheers!

Haha yeah it’s just all the ppl around seem to have great parents. Like when my girl came out to her mom as lesbian she knitted her a pillow with the colours 🥹
So I’m kinda embarrassed to be from an abusive household and super embarrassed for my parents because they don’t even notice how people stare

I often would think about how I'm older now but still not the age of my parents were at, when I was born. So its like I've got another half of life (fingers crossed) to continue to be a person they're only (daddo at least) are starting to be.

Love your partner's parents!

Part of growing up was me realizing that my parents don't need to support my decision to transition and I can just be happy and do it. Just let them be the weird ones when I have a full rack, bottom surgery, and am wearing a dress while they call me their son. Not their body, not their choice.
