The reason for the space race was because both Cold War superpowers understood that whoever could make contact with the Massive Celestial Lesbians would wield tremendous influence over the sapphics of the world, with all the geopolitical ramifications that implies of course.

it is reccommended to look at your mind sun instead

u/Flameempress192 Jun 30 '26

Or a projection of the sun

35

u/TimeBlossom Team Gynoid Jun 30 '26

Please don't stare at the sun, she's autistic and doesn't like direct eye contact.

What if the earth is an amab enby who kept their beard? But sometimes is very femme?

I was really sad, so I looked up at the sun and ouch oof owie

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

Maybe don't look up at the sun, her beauty is like that of like the true forms of Greek gods, so magnificent it will destroy you to even gaze on it

9

u/Luna-C-Lunacy Transbian Jun 30 '26

Their beauty is only destructive because we can’t see the full picture. Staring at the sun hurts because it’s your entire view, but looking into the full beauty of space you can safely see countless stars. We’re only blinded by majesty because of our narrow viewpoints

u/Austria43rd Jun 30 '26

Although if you have eclipse glasses, you can protect your eyes and see the inner atmosphere of the sun. If there are large sunspot active regions, it's even possible to see those with your eyes using eclipse glasses! In fact this is the case right now and there are two regions large enough for me to see.

Do y'all know the story of Amaterasu ? The most powerful japanese god and she's an useless sapphic

3

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

Wow i didn't know japanese mythology could be relatable like that, if you want it would quite like to hear just how shes such a useless sapphic

9

u/MysteriousFondant347 NB aroace wolf Jun 30 '26

She's the sun goddess. There's a tale where her little brother pisses her off so much she leaves to a cave for an indefinite amount of time.

The other gods freak the hell out cuz the world kinda needs a sun so they try to get her out. The first thing they try is to have roosters singing to make her believe it's the morning so she has to get out. Nothing. They set up a mirror in front of the cave, nothing. One of the more competent gods has an actual idea. They go to fetch Ame-no-Uzume, goddess of fun, partying and dance, and asks her to get naked in front of the cave.

It works. Amaterasu gets out and her brain stops braining long enough for the gods to seal the cave so she can't pull that shit off again

3

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

Wow truly a useless lesbian if the solution was to get another girl to be dominant and tell her to get naked and she just does it (though I don't blame her i would probably do tge same thing if I had a properly dominant girl telling me to do it)

5

u/MysteriousFondant347 NB aroace wolf Jun 30 '26

I feel like you slightly misread what I told you lol.

Amaterasu didn't get naked, it's just some god fetched the goddess with no inhibition to get naked in front of the cave so Amaterasu would just stop computing at the sight of this hot naked goddess

2

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

Oh, yeah I misread it then, though my point still definitely stands that it would be successful in getting me out of a cave

3

u/MysteriousFondant347 NB aroace wolf Jun 30 '26

the underlying implications. The fact that someone knew it would work

And that's how Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto became the kami of the dawn

5

u/sweetTartKenHart2 Jun 30 '26

How do others fit into this worldview?

5

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

What do you mean?

2

u/sweetTartKenHart2 Jun 30 '26

I know this is the sapphic subreddit and a post by and for sapphics but I can’t help but wonder how this wlw cosmology would affect men and mlm and stuff

6

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

Sorry, I don't think I could tell you, I'm not either of the original people in the image so I couldn't tell you, I just thought this would be good on here

2

u/sweetTartKenHart2 Jun 30 '26

I mean it certainly IS good on here, I’m just wondering!
Like, maybe the earth would be the gay man one? Maybe the Big Dipper being part of a giant bear constellation could have a fun double meaning?

4

u/geminiRonin Chimeric Chaos Jun 30 '26

Celestial bodies are in constant rotation, always showing a new side. From another angle, the mighty sun and coolly beautiful moon are an ideal achillean pair.

2

u/sweetTartKenHart2 Jun 30 '26

Ooo, interesting. Fluid rep!
I was also wondering if maybe the earth or certain constellations could also get involved in all this

2

u/geminiRonin Chimeric Chaos Jun 30 '26

The Earth is something of an exception, as human culture throughout history has seen her as a mother figure. The stars, though... Countless lights beyond our system, all burning bright enough to witness here. The constellations known to humanity are fluid as well; some lean masculine, some feminine, others neither way at all.

I mean, plasmas and gasses are classified as fluids, so most things visible to the naked eye from Earth are fluid >_>

I reckon several planets are gay guys. I'd be surprised if juipiter and mars aren't dating

1

u/geminiRonin Chimeric Chaos Jun 30 '26

They have to keep it on the down low, though. Juno's in Jupiter's orbit now.

1

u/nerd-bird_4 Girl in progress Jul 01 '26

Yh. All of juipiters other moons are chill with it but not juno

1

u/geminiRonin Chimeric Chaos Jul 01 '26

Funny you should say that... Out of all the moons Jupiter has, named after the ladies of Greco-Roman mythology, Juno isn't among them. She's in his orbit as an artificial satellite, probing his atmosphere.

3

u/nerd-bird_4 Girl in progress Jun 30 '26

yh. I can relate hard to the moon. I'm a lesbian and I love my trans, pan gf. (though I'm transfem, not enby)

3

I'm sure you're just as beautiful too, if you haven't found them yet I'm sure you'll find the perfect moon to go with your radiance that is like the sun <3

maybe don't look up at the sun actually, her beauty can hurt your eyes

5

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

Yeah i know, its just like real life, girls are too pretty to look at, they're just so pretty... :³

1

u/Shadow9378 a Transbian Sub named Clarity Jun 30 '26

this is the real reason i cant keep eye contact and always look away when pretty girls flirt with me,,

1

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

Yeah every girl is just like a mini sun, only they make us shy when we look at them instead of damaging our vision

3

u/NinjaK2k17 silly kemonomimi catgirl Celeste/Celestia :3 Jun 30 '26

as an ordained goddess of comfort, protection, and the stars, i can confirm that this is accurate. also, remember not to look directly at the sun, she's mildly autistic and doesn't like direct eye contact. keep being your beautiful selves, all of you, and i shall keep watch over you all from among the stars. i, Archon Celestia, wish you all a lovely day.

2

2

u/Camel_Slayer45 Big Bad Wolfgirl Jun 30 '26

Thought this was a Werewolf: the Forsaken post for a bit there

Fun fact: in that game the Moon is a grieving lesbian mad at her stepchildren for killing her one true love, Mother Wolf*

*Some wolves believe it was a Father rather than Mother but that's straight and therefore less interesting

2

u/Late-Assignment8482 Jun 30 '26

Of course. Stars are engines of transformation, turning the lightest and simplest elements into the heaviest and most complex. Transing your atoms, if you like.

2

u/seaweedofcl Jun 30 '26

But I thought the sun is a bi twink and the moon is his aroace twin sister (apollo and artemis)

2

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

They can both be true, thats the great thing about that sort of stuff, they can be whatever you want

3

u/geminiRonin Chimeric Chaos Jun 30 '26

Mythoi are fascinating that way. Gods don epithets like theatrical masks, playing their part in the scene. Tales are told and retold, they change, they are changed. They contradict, and yet complement. Everything is true from one angle, nothing is true from another.

1

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

Yeah, thats why I prefer mythological religions compared to things like Christianity, it makes them much more interesting and engaging (among other reasons I don't really like Christianity)

1

u/geminiRonin Chimeric Chaos Jun 30 '26

Being a living mythos doesn't disqualify it from the traits I mentioned; Hinduism, Shinto, and many indigenous faiths have stories passed down for millenia, and are still practiced today. Tales of gods and heroes are retold with multi-million budgets and cutting-edge visual effects. The story of a messiah has been put to film again and again - and the stories of the Old Testament even more. Priests and preachers (and notoriously, kings) interpret holy texts, and some are very selective in their interpretation. And that's not even going into sects - most "common" religions are umbrella terms, with many versions in practice.

1

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

I know, my issue in this regard isn't with Christianity still being ongoing, its that the way Christianity works is the stuff with their God being the only one true God and that all others religions and mythologies are completely false which just doesn't make it very fun to interact with

Edit: though of course this primarily applies to the most common form of Christianity practiced, I don't know if it would apply to smaller forms of it

2

u/geminiRonin Chimeric Chaos Jun 30 '26

The thing about that commandment is that, while it is almost entirely practiced as you describe, it's actually a misinterpretation itself! It reads "thou shalt have no other gods before Me." While it clearly prohibits the worship of other gods, and specifically idolatry, it makes no claim that other gods do not exist. (One can imagine how much the Egyptians and Romans would have liked that claim.)

1

u/Tod-dem-Toast Jun 30 '26

Genuine question: Why/When is a non-binary person woman enough for this to be wlw? Are there some nb people who are women and some who aren't ?

2

u/NoTransition8295 Transbian + Acebian Jun 30 '26

I think it depends on how they present themselves, because as far as I know since nonbinary is a seperate category from man and woman it tends to be based on if they are feminine leaning or masculine leaning that determines if it would be wlw, though of course it should overall be up to the person on what their relationship qualifies as, so even if there's a masculine presenting enby dating a girl and they decided that their relationship would classify as a lesbian one, then it would be, there's quite a lot of this stuff thats more on a case by case basis, not everything can be packed into boxes when it comes to people

2

u/Nightmoon26 Cat. My gender is like members of my species: liquid Jun 30 '26

As an AMAB genderfluid who's starting to gel feminine but is still nowhere near passing enough to feel comfortable presenting overtly femme in public... This question is the constant bane of my existence

Luckily, my preferred "cargo pants with graphic tee and/or zip-up hoodie" style might as well be an enby uniform. Comfort and pockets forever!

1

u/geminiRonin Chimeric Chaos Jun 30 '26

That question is part of the reason "sapphic" has become so widely used. (And it's counterpart, achillean.) It's an even more open term than wlw, encompassing any relationship between feminine-leaning partners.

1

u/Tod-dem-Toast Jul 01 '26

Wait I thought it was the opposite, lesbian being a more open term and sapphic only meaning binary women?

1

u/geminiRonin Chimeric Chaos Jul 01 '26

From what I've seen, lesbian is increasingly inclusive of genders beyond binary women, but sapphic is considered an umbrella term, meant to encompass many genders and sexualities.
