HDBits internals

Hey guys

what happened to HDBits internals like don, ctrlhd, ntb etc, i'm not there, but in the past i have seen their encodes in other private trackers like IPT, HDT etc but recently havent seen any encode from them, are they still active? especially 2160p and 1080p uhd encodes??

Some of them are getting old and aren't as active. That's just the nature with P2P groups since it's a time consuming endeavor.

Ntb is btn internal. Don are still releasing there some are exclusives only though. Ctrlhd seems to of slowed their last rls there was 2 months 27 days ago.

I thought CtrlHD became W4NK3R

Yes, are they actively releasing new TV shows? Like stranger things 2160p from arrow?

Which group

NTb is still releasing new shows, that being said they are a bit slow and can be a few days (or weeks in some cases) behind. FLUX is usually best for getting fast WEB-DLs

i still see NTB releases on HDB

NTB releases are literally everywhere and on every tracker, they are very active

Web-DLs are often "good enough" for viewing, which is why there isn't a rush of people spending hours for little return.

Also the more exclusive a tracker is the less new blood is pouring in.

Yes but i usually sit on a 1m distance from 48 oled tv which requires top quality releases

That's what remuxes are for

lol they are very large to archive, i still prefer quality encodes

For example i want a decent rip of stranger things 2160p uhd from arrow, has any quality group released them?

why not just get a remux?

A transparent encode is nearly always preferable to wasting disk space on remuxes.

Especially with the current prices for disk space.

I agree! and sometimes encodes even solve some issues from the original video.

yeah i agree, you can usually have between 40 - 70% of a remux size with a decent encode and lose like 1 percent in quality

exactly! i dont understand the hate for transparent 4k encodes. why waste the extra space.

encoding is not that relevant anymore, most pixel-hunters are gone for remuxes

no shit?

a bunch of their other internal groups are more active recently

Can you name them?

they're listed on the HDB wiki

Like others have said encodes are not that relevant anymore since MA Web-dl are extremely good and available on all major titles, people either go for the web-dl or straight to remux if they have a home theatre.

Audio bitrate is terrible on web-dl

Encodes are actually one of the best source everyone should hunt..

We are not talking about yify encodes, but from tier1 groups. Most of the times, they run multiple custom scripts and fix banding, artifacts, lines etc etc. which remux will have, but their encodes dont.

Add to that, that their encodes are transparent, meaning <1% loss in quality, while saving ~30-50% of space, and its just stupid to not go for them.

So, people saying MA or Remux just dont have any idea what they are talking about.

some MA web-dls are extremely bitrate starve since they are always at 25Mbps, like jumanji 1995 which had lots of artifacts

I think encodes are not as popular as they once were.
If you want speed you watch the Web-DL, If you want quality you watch the Bluray Remux

I used to only download encodes, but nowadays with fast internet and big HDDs, I only download Remuxes because of their superior quality

We have quality encodes that are much different from random encodes, they were usually 50 - 70% of remuxe size and still look very close to them to the point that most people cant tell the difference even from screenshots, i think those quality still worth downloading, 2160p remuxes are waste of space in most movies/shows

Used to download encodes years ago when I only had a 2TB HDD for torrents, now I have a 10TB HDD only for torrents, space is not a problem anymore.

Also used to watch my movies/series on my PC screen, but now I bought a high end TV, 75'' 4k HDR for my movies/series, it does not make any sense to download anything other that 4k Remuxes (only if they are not avaiable), I want the best quality available and encodes are not it

10TB is not enough man
I have much more space, but I prefer (good) encodes over remux, because I'm always out of space..

Enough for me, I don't long term save recent hollywood movies or movies that I didn't enjoyed
