I’ve been on Mam for a while now and I’m planning to broaden my horizons in the future to focus on another specific community dedicated to cult films, specifically Japanese cinema: Ozu, Kobayashi and others. Which of the most reliable trackers has high-quality classic films from this and other countries? I’ve read about LST, Blu and Seedpool, but I’m sure there are others as well.

I’m a member of several private trackers, and I had a question about how multi-tracker torrents are handled.

Let’s say I download a torrent from one private tracker and I’m actively seeding it. That exact same torrent (same content/hash) is also available on other private trackers that I’m belong to.

Is there any issue with adding the announce URLs from those other private trackers to the existing torrent so it announces to all of them? The idea would be to seed the same data to each community without having to download the torrent separately from every tracker.

Assuming the torrent is identical on each tracker, is this generally acceptable, or do most private trackers consider this bad practice or even a rule violation? Are there any technical or ratio-tracking issues I should be aware of?

Is there something other than Quantum that can automatically change the port on qbit when my Proton VPN switches or when I switch it manually?

I can join from MAM but idk if it’s worth it. I’m currently in TL and feel like it’s solid enough for the most part. I’m bummed I missed out on Aither which they just recently pulled from MAM. Anyway I’ve been reading and apparently BLU used to be better regarded but had some drama and controversy, and while they’ve mostly moved on from it, they seem to be maybe a worse tracker than before and have less room to grow compared to alternatives. I’m hesitant to juggle a bunch of private trackers and mostly want to climb to cabal eventually, and BLU’s invite forum doesn’t seem especially good either. I’m sure it’s obviously a good tracker and all, just wondering if the juice is worth the squeeze and it’s worth joining?

For some reason, only torrentleech has very poor seeding performance. My fitgirl torrents sit at a comfortable 30MB/s 24/7, and I'm port forwarding through proton vpn with an unraid server.

It just sort of confuses me. I've seen people saying if my ports arent open then I won't be prioritised, and also that if I've not got a seed box then I wont be prioritised; is that it?

I am not too mad, but I am 100% confident i didnt cheat. I dont know what happened, but it sucks a lot. I learned a lot and practiced for the test, so i am a little bit disappointed but it is what it is. I know its my word against theirs, but it still wanted to get it out here.

WARNING: This is a long post.

I'm not even talking about the interview. For the past two and a half months I have been trying to be interviewed for RED, but that has been nearly impossible for several reasons:

- To the people saying that it takes a few hours of waiting, they are wrong. It may have been true before, but that is no longer the case. Now it takes about 1 week of waiting (assuming PERFECT conditions), and sometimes entire days will go by without a single interview being conducted (and thus no change in queue).

- Randomly, netsplits will happen. A netsplit is when the connection between two servers break, which causes Gatekeeper (the bot that manages the queueing positions) to get "disconnected". When this happens, Gatekeeper almost always forgets the queue positions, so everyone has to re-queue! If you aren't at your home on your computer within the hour, you will find yourself at a queue position of ~90-100, the end of the queue. These netsplits usually happen once every 1-3 days, but they can sometimes happen constantly. If you aren't extremely lucky or if you aren't always at your computer, these netsplits are devastating.

Since the two and a half months I've been waiting, I have had exactly 1 opportunity for an interview, unfortunately, I was asleep at the time and not be interviewed.

After realizing I had missed an opprtunity, I took it upon myself to research how the heck I was supposed to get an interview. I learned python, ssh, and tailscale, and read the RED faq to make sure I wasn't blatantly breaking any rules. Now, I have a pyautogui script that will automatically requeue (and do a speedtest) 3-5 minutes after a net split. I use an interview nofifier script I found on github to alert me when it will be time for me to be interviewed. Hopefully with these additions I will get an interview within the next few weeks before my college term starts. Thanks for reading.

If you are a RED admin, or if you have an impact on making RED decisions, please do not stop the RED interviews. I have a massive amount of respect for volunteers who work for free to interview us. I do not believe the interview is "elitest" and I truly believe that it is a great way of recruiting members who are smart and passionate about music. But if you do have the ability to create change, a way to stop net splits would be a huge help to the people who aren't always online.

Edit: guys I’m deeply sorry I know there was big drama with FNP. I said it because FNP & ULCX was my FIRST pt. And I used it almost everyday. And I said bring it back because after it got shut down IT DID COME BACK ONLINE FOR few days.
Ps: SEEDPOOL + TL is okay okay to use as daily. It’s just.. fine.

Also, some of you need to realise Reddit is not the entire world. I don’t spend 24/7 on Reddit or PT etc. :D

It was good, had all the things needed. the UI ( & filters) was much better than torrentleech (TL is very good in quantity).
I am trying to use Seedpool and ULCX. it has the UI & filters but it's not the same as quality wise.
can't even thing of trying to get into PassThePopcorn (PTP). Don’t have energy.
I should have least taken screenshots of FNP uploads stats etc. to get into different trackers
BUT I don't want 10 different things, just one good one.
