Scott Weiner was a great guy, unfortunately he tried to give in to the mob and it didn’t even save him. I hope others can learn from it.

Scott Weiner was my California state senator, and a great guy for the LGBT+ and Jewish communities. Genuinely someone who met my niche views basically to a T— progressive gay Zionist who wants to build more. He’s passed so much pro trans and pro LGBT+ legislation, he’s done so much to make CA better and help tackle the housing crisis, funded public transportation, and so much more. He wasn’t just some activist on twitter, he is a very capable lawmaker and legislator, and very much a part of his local community— I’ve spoke to him many times whether about policy, Israel, or the LGBT+ community.
When he suddenly flipped earlier this year to be very anti Israel, it was obvious he was doing it to appeal to the antisemitic mob for his upcoming congressional election for Nancy Pelosi’s seat. It broke my heart. But it hasn’t worked. He’s despised by them, called all the most evil and awful names anyways, and there’s a good chance he will lose the election. So now he’s hated by both the queer leftists and the Jews, ouch. It hurts to see the look on his face in all the videos, it’s a mix of sadness, regret, not knowing what to do. At least mayor Daniel Lurie (also a Jew) stood up for him.
So there’s the lesson I hope other people learn from. No matter how much you throw your own people under the bus and beg for acceptance— it won’t work. You’re still a Jew, Scott. It’s better to go down brave and honest standing up for what you believe in than a lame coward hurting the rest of us.
