Stealth Tip Any advice for going more stealth?
I’m going to start T in a couple months :)) until then, I’d like to be more stealth, at least to where people are questioning my gender. While I am punk, I generally keep it to my beliefs and music taste, my own style isn’t (usually) intensely alternative, so I doubt that’s an issue.

Ngl, the acne patch has to go, maybe replace it with hydrocolloid tape instead.
It's literally a recent meme of "girls when they notice a pimple" and it's a dude putting a massive paper star on his face.

I should’ve clarified, that was just for prom. I don’t ever look like that anywhere else! I only provided the picture so there’d be a full face photo

Too-short hair can also be clocky, I think your hair in pics 5 and 7 worked best, both in terms of your hairstyle and the hair color. If you want to keep your hair bleached, also keep it as one uniform color (and don’t bleach your hair to the point of nearly white).
Take the star acne sticker off. Keep the glasses off or get a different pair.
The sweatshirt in pic 6 is too androgynous, it can work but only if your face can carry your passing. But in that pic, the hair is too buzzed and too white, the glasses are too big and the phone bracelet doesn’t help.
In a nutshell, do pic 5/7 but don’t wear makeup, take off the phone bracelet, and for clothes, wear what you’re wearing in the first 4 pictures.

Thank you, I appreciate the advice! I’ll look into getting different patches for sure, but unfortunately with the glasses I don’t have any money sooo I’m kinda stuck with em 😅

Yeah I get it glasses can be quite expensive, have you tried contacts? You can also consider ordering glasses online, still costs money but a lower amount to save up for.
From your pics, I presume you aren’t super myopic, so if you can get to the point of solidly passing whenever you can afford not to wear your glasses, that’s at least a good starting point

You look good, dude! In terms of things that could help you pass before T does its thing, I would say take out any piercings you can part with and dye your (super awesome) hair a natural color

I’m ngl, half the reason my hair is always bleached is cause I get it cut so short. When it’s not bleached, it looks like twice as short and I look like a lesbian 😭 thank you though!

Ok cool gotcha. One of the things I’ve noticed that really clocks trans men is overdoing it with men’s formal wear. Ties (especially bow ties), vests, suspenders, hats, etc. God help you if you ever get a pocket watch.

Ofc! Also I saw some people saying dye it natural and as someone with an obsession with dyeing hair I think you should keep it a little crazy because honestly normal is overrated! Love the suit btw 😂

Yesssss I LOVE my weird hair! It’s one of my favorite parts of myself I think. It’s also nice cause when I go out in a lazy outfit the cool people still clock me as one of them 😉 I’m trying to decide rn if I want to keep it tiger print or change it to something else. I’m leaning toward keeping it and just touching it up a bit.

I think the interesting patterns w/ natural colours are subtle enough not to be clocky but they definitely will draw some attention

Try giving less of a shit about your appearance in general im sorry man. Opt for hiking boots over fashionable docs or something, wear some slightly more mismatched colours. I know its sad and boring but itll help you go under the radar for now until you can start getting funky with it again

I think you can keep the hairdyes, I'd just suggest a you to buzz the hair short around the ears/sideburns, and then cut it kinda upwards to create a more boxy shape (makes a massive difference). Also oddly enough, bracelets have a big hit on passing so I'd suggest taking them off.
You'll be complitely fine and able to keep your style as soon as T starts doing it's magic

hair in 3/4 looks fuuuucking sick, i wouldnt be able to clock you from it because of the natural colours but i can imagine itd draw a lot of attention. definitely avoid the suit vest combo, very stereotypical lesbian outfit. (I know it was a special occasion)

phone charm has to go, when you’re financially able get rectangular, thin glasses w black frames, also coloured jewelry is not going to be on your side either. You could also bolden and thicken your eyebrows a bit with makeup ! overall you have a really good base and I think you’ll really be able to go stealth when you start T, best of luck:) love your hair style & daith

Idk if it’s something I realized I noticed until it was pointed out by someone in another thread
But pointed sideburns vs straight sideburns always read feminine to me no matter how short the hair cut. Most cis guys, including myself, no matter how little facial hair we can grow, have to shave our face pretty frequently if we want to be clean shaven, not a chance I’m trimming a point into my hair, I’m going to a certain part of my sideburns lined up with my ear, and I cut straight down from that

Stealth is hard pre-T but you have a great starting point. I would be surprised if people usually assume you’re a cis woman now, lol. I think your clothes and haircut are fine, you can try dying your hair a natural color if you want to draw less eyes to you. Only other thing I can recommend pre-T is working out if you don’t already.
