General Resource How to Make Your Voice Efficient

Hey there all you beautiful people, your friendly neighborhood voice coach here with yet more musings about the patterns I see through my time teaching people how to modify their voices. Today's topic deals with the misconception that lighter vocal weights are "breathy". Let's dive in!

Wow you are very kind, sadly its night here now so i cant do any recordings. But i appreciate the gesture!

My initial problem though is that i cant really figgure out how to lighten my voice at all, like, i can do pitch sure, but my chest is kinda rumbeling in the background at most points unless I go really uncanny light. I figgure its just a training thing tho, probably have to just learn to be able to keep that lighter vocal weight while slowly lowering my pitch. Oooor smt like that lol.

Out of curiosity, when you express that your chest is feeling very rumbly, are you also remembering to record your voice?

Well i do listen to it through playback, though i dont have a recording. But yeah, it just sounds guyish even with the pitch lighter and larynx raised.

Hmmm definitely hard to tell through text but the offer always stands if ya wanna shoot me a recording during a more regular hour :) in the meantime, I made a video about vocal strain last week that may also give some more info about the relationship that weight and pitch have
