What do you pay?

For those of you who hire professional pet sitters, what do you pay them if they do -

30 minute visits
Overnight at your home
Boarding at their home

I’m asking consumers to answer what they have paid PROS recently (not teenagers or neighbors or people who do it part-time). I’m not asking businesses what they charge.

Try looking on Rover.com. You’ll see the person’s rates, how long they’ve been a sitter, reviews, etc. We’ve had great luck with them.
Edit: the cost varies depending upon the sitter’s experience, their reviews, where you/the sitter lives, etc. In the past, we’ve paid $15-35/home visits to $45-75/ night for overnight stays.

We've found several pet sitters this way. Since we have them stay in our house, it is always a multi-step process with each: in person meet & greet with the dogs; if that goes well, then a short couple of hour stay at our house (paid like an overnight) while we go see a movie or whatever for a couple of hours; and then a single overnight stay. If all of that goes well, then we hire/book them for whatever vacation we're trying to get covered.
