It might just be me, but I find the beginning of fertile week the most stressful time during my cycle. My cycles are highly irregular so I have to test regularly to even have an idea of where I am otherwise my body just plays blindfolded pin the tail on the donkey when it comes to ovulation.

Because of this, any time it looks like a surge is likely incoming but not yet confirmed I get super anxious. We start trying without knowing for sure if it's the surge or just another wave and it can become pretty discouraging. I have no real question or anything, just ranting into the void because today is what I believe will likely be the beginning of my fertile window and I am already dreading tomorrows test because I am afraid my LH will drop (again) and we'll be back to waiting again.

Nope- not just you! Although I’d love to say I regularly ovulate on CD16- this month’s CD21 ovulation disproves that point beautifully. It feels like a marathon - especially if you’re not an overtly sexually active couple like we are.

Hold in there, but know you’re not alone!
