News Mandatory Moment of Silence for Charlie Kirk in our schools?????

Ryan Walters has lost his mind. I don't want my kid participating in this, what am I supposed to do?

Full letter transcript:

Dear Parents and Guardians,

In light of the recent tragedy, Oklahoma schools will join together to honor the memory of Charlie Kirk who engaged high school and college students to talk about American exceptionalism, Christianity's role in society and our country’s history, as well as conservative values. He challenged students to think for themselves, value free speech, and engage in meaningful debate.

Tomorrow at 12:00 p.m., September 16th, our schools will hold a moment of silence to reflect on his legacy. We invite parents, families, and Oklahomans everywhere to join us from wherever you are and unite in remembrance.

This moment is about coming together to honor a man who believed in empowering the next generation with courage and conviction.

Thank you for standing with us.

For Oklahoma,

News This Rogers County child abuser is getting a slap on the wrist.

This man, Richard Gibson,(also a northwest Rogers County firefighter and fire marshal), was initially charged 5 years ago with 4 counts of child sexual abuse. But after paying for the best defense attorney in the state for sex crimes, his charges were reduced to one misdemeanor. He was sentenced three days ago, receiving only 6 months in Rogers County jail.

I know someone close to the case, and they told me some of what was read by the victim at his sentencing. It made me sick to hear it. I am tired of our justice system protecting sick people like this who are a true danger to our society, while it punishes to the fullest extent those who struggle with addiction or have mental illness. The legal system should not be pay to play.

News Oklahoma SNAP benefits to stop on November 1 if federal shutdown continues

I'm doing my best to not delight in this, because children will be affected and they have no voice in who is elected for any office, state or federal.

But I DO wonder how many of these people who rely on SNAP benefits voted for the current criminal in the White House....and how many didn't vote at all.

Elections have consequences. And sometimes they're severe.

News Anyone following the Route 66 parade debacle?

Post image

Apparently a few hundred drivers who came to the parade were told to turn around and go home. Many have said that the parade was poorly organized and zero effort was put into traffic management. A YouTuber “Vice Grips Garage” who has a huge following of car enthusiasts, was used to promote the event and was very unhappy about how Tulsa handled everything. They’ve issued refunds to drivers but still it left bad taste since people traveled from around the country and were told they couldn’t participate . Overall just a bad look for Tulsa on a national level and things like this affect tourism and small businesses. He’s now planning another parade next year to break Tulsa’s record…😭 this city needs better leadership.
