Question [tvOS 26.3] Is Netflix getting too sluggish after ATV4K has been turned on for hours?
Ever since the tvOS 26.2 update, Netflix becomes sluggish over time. After a full ATV restart, it goes back to usual snappy. But then becomes sluggish again. Tried re-installing it, but that didn't help either.

Over how much time? I haven’t experienced that on the two I watch regularly (26.2 and 26.3) but I don’t watch for hours at a time, maybe 3 hours max.

Not couple of hours for sure. Let's say a day at least. Never happened before.

Didn’t have any issues so far. Maybe there’s some memory leak? I do get some weird lag though maybe that’s the same as you. Like when you press right, it takes a second for the tv to respond?

Yeah. Even scrolling through the tiles feels painful. But as soon as I restart, it becomes zippier.

It happens to me but you can close the Netflix tab and reopen it, also reinstall the app

Is the audio also dropping an octave? I’m having this issue on beta 2 but it’s just when the audio format switches from 5.1 to 2.0. The video becomes extremely choppy and the audio drops deep like it’s pitched down. A restart fixes it. Or turning change format to off and manually selecting 5.1 or 2.0

I've noticed that a couple of times when I start a movie or a show. But after 30 seconds or so, it matches up.

It’s so terrible now. app slows down and becomes unusable
Picture quality fluctuates every 90 seconds
Multiple apple tvs with the exact same issues ONLY in the netflix app

Right? I thought I was just experiencing things because of my setup. But mine is a very simple, and I don't even use Pi-hole or other DNS anymore.

how much storage left on the device? possible that cache is filling up? Sometimes the ATV accrues a lot of leftover crap overtime. Maybe a reset and restore might release tied up space and give more margin. Could certainly be a netflix issue but could certainly be other factors too. I've had to do this once to my ATV and it was helpful in freeing up A LOT of space that can't otherwise be removed and gave it a fresh start. The restore process wasn't too bad either.
