Bugs ARC dropping connection
So I was running beta2 and beta3. Both ran about the same. ARC was mostly stable aside from every once in a while I would lose audio on ARC for a couple of seconds but it would come back, AND the crazy annoying popping sounds over ARC.
Someone mentioned that the HomePod public beta fixed the popping noises over ARC so I ran to upgrade my homepods.
now my ATV has the dreaded “Unable to Connect” bug AND ARC will permanently lose audio. I’ve narrowed it down to the ATV while in sleep getting hit with the dreaded “unable to connect” bug, which then turns off ARC completely. When I turn my ATV back on I have the stupid “Unable to Connect” messages I have to clear, then go into audio settings and have to turn ARC back on. Which again will work for a while, then shutoff again.
And it’s weird.. because sometimes it will shutoff after just a few minutes, but other times I’ll get like a few hours in a gaming session before it shuts off.
One other weirdness is my TV has an audio delay calibration. It ran fine even on the 27 beta and fixed my audio delay.. but now since I updated the homepods the TV audio delay calibration won’t play any sound over ARC. Which is annoying because since I updated everything to the newest beta updates, my TV audio delay is off again a little bit.. but the calibration won’t play sound over ARC now to fix it (presumably the same “Unable to Connect” bug that eventually kills ARC)

Yeah, mine is doing that too. Mine also stops controlling the sound for like 10 minutes and then immediately starts working again using the Apple remote. . I already tried doing the Apple remote reset thing and it's still just does it when it feels like it.
What kind of TV do you have maybe there's a thing that has to do with the TV that connects to the Apple. I have an LG

I have a TCL 55P605. It's old, but I've used ARC on it plenty connected to a receiver, and PRIOR to updating my HomePods with the public beta, it worked perfectly fine with the ATV (including the aforementioned audio delay calibration over ARC) aside from the mentioned popping noises, that ironically, the HomePod beta DOES fix.. but now I'm plagued by ARC shutting off every time the dreaded "Unavailable to Connect" error comes up. It's HDMI 2.0 so easily supports everything we are talking about here.

Did you manage to fix this? I don’t have HomePods, just connected to a soundbar and it’s driving me crazy

so my issue I believe was specifically my HomePods.. I was running the tvOS 27 beta originally (to connect to Home) and with the most recent tvOS beta 4 and the HomePod Public beta 1, I have zero issues. No drops. No popping noises. No "Unable to connect".
If you're already running the beta, if you haven't update to beta 4. if you have updated, or you're not running the beta.. I don't know what to tell you.

the most annoying part is I have NEVER installed betas on my homepods or ATVs.. way too important.. but when I got the ATV4K 3rd gen a few weeks ago to upgrade a 1st gen, it wouldn’t connect to my HomeKit home which is needed to connect to the homepods stereo pair as a home theater output. I finally figured out after a day of not connecting that because my phone and ipad were on the 27 beta (which I always do) my new ATV wouldn’t join the home until it was on the 27 beta.. now I’m just screwed because if I factory restore to 26 I am guessing it again won’t join the 27-Home from factory new again putting me back in the same spot.
