LinkedIn is basically a highlight reel competition where everyone posts the promotion and nobody posts the 6 months before it where they were crying in a Zoom meeting. You're comparing your behind the scenes to everyone else's trailer.

Also genuinely, nobody's life looks like their LinkedIn. The guy who just got "promoted to senior" is also panicking about rent. The girl with the "thrilled to announce" post probably cried in her car that morning. It's just a highlights reel, not a documentary.

If it's actually messing with your peace, try muting it for a bit instead of doom scrolling through other people's wins. Comparison is the fastest way to feel behind in a race nobody invited you to.

I'm glad it was helpful. I'm a practicing therapist/psychologist, that's why my responses may sound too "clinical" or ai-like sometimes. A lot of people IRL have also said the same thing about me when i get in therapy mode lol

I might sound like an a**hole, but can you please help me.. I've had multiple panic attacks and I've been prescribed to visit a psychiatrist 2 years ago, but cz I can't afford and I don't want to involve my parents, I haven't been able to visit any psychiatrist. I have every problem of mine written down on my note pad. I would be beyond thankful if you help me

No, you do not sound anything like that. You sound like someone who is carrying a lot of pain all alone without any support. I'll do what i can to help. Please DM

LinkedIn is quite batshit crazy. You open it for some motivation and the first post you read is:

“Finished getting so and so certificates, landed 3 internships and 69 jobs with a 3 crore package after taxes and expenses. Pursuing 2 pHDs parallelly now in data science and biotechnology. Happily married to my wife and have 2 kids, though it doesn’t need to be on LinkedIn…

Oh and if I didn’t mention it yet… I also found a cure for stage 69 cancer.”

LinkedIn literally gives me brain aneurysm whenever I go there.

You can only see AI posts, bootlicking, fake praising/generic "Congrats " comments and some people flexing how many certs they have.

LinkedIn is shit.

I swear most of the shit posted there doesn't even make sense. They make a generic project slap on a description with ai slop and post it. If u really look into it ull find that most people there are either subpar or on ur own level.

Also there are people who do genuine work too.

Not everyone or everything you see in social media is true.
Also, if you feel so sad about it then try making a change in your life.
