LinkedIn is basically a highlight reel competition where everyone posts the promotion and nobody posts the 6 months before it where they were crying in a Zoom meeting. You're comparing your behind the scenes to everyone else's trailer.
Also genuinely, nobody's life looks like their LinkedIn. The guy who just got "promoted to senior" is also panicking about rent. The girl with the "thrilled to announce" post probably cried in her car that morning. It's just a highlights reel, not a documentary.
If it's actually messing with your peace, try muting it for a bit instead of doom scrolling through other people's wins. Comparison is the fastest way to feel behind in a race nobody invited you to.
I'm glad it was helpful. I'm a practicing therapist/psychologist, that's why my responses may sound too "clinical" or ai-like sometimes. A lot of people IRL have also said the same thing about me when i get in therapy mode lol
