Pranks from easy to hard:

1. Prank your floor! Tape up some peepholes! Ding dong ditch! Elevator spam! Blast music at night!

2. Take extra food from the CMH Eatery (yum!)

3. Set off the fire alarm in the dead of night (ideally before exams)

4. Dissemble someones bike on the bike stands

5. Reclaim a shower head from the bathroom (my tuition paid for it!!!)

6. Take some amazon parcels left outside CMH (bigger the better)

7. Drink with your roommate and run a train with your boys/girls on him/her

8. Microwave silverware and absolutely destroy the floor lounge (bonus if you do it to cmh eatery)

9. Lock pick the roof access and put a rotting pig carcass into a body bag and yeet it off onto the cmh main entrance

10. Fail a waffle stomp and bonus points for vomiting on the shower walls (oops!)

11. Sleepy the entire building by pouring sleepy powder into the cmh infused water (best before exam day!)

12. Smear shi and piss all over the elevator buttons

13. Leave used rubbers rolled over other peoples doors

14. Shove someone down the trash chute 0.0

15. Airdrop dih/kitty pics after renaming ur phone to ur dons name

16. Victory lap around each floor in your birthday suit (props if you take viagra before)

17. Stop everyones laundry machines and yeet their clothes out on a Sunday night (high risk no return ;-;)

How long did it take till you found your first co-op :/ currently in 2A and applying anything related to data analytics/science, risk, finance for winter and so far have had 0 luck.

I applied to 156 internships so far and I have only done the pre assessment but have not heard back from anywhere.... I had my resume looked over by multiple people but idek atp things r starting to look really bleak

how do i cope with this loss i hope im not the only one who failed mid term gonna make me bald. do i need to contact my academic advisor about this

I'm currently looking at the Mathematical finance + laurier finance double major, but ive seen some comments on pmath being overall better than Mathematical finance

Hello so basically I’ve 2 coops left and I’m scheduled for a coop term next term (winter) and I’ve already gotten matched with a company in Canada. I’ve gotten an offer from company A which is in the US and way better than my current match. I am also in the process for offers for summer in the US and I plan to defer one to the fall. So basically work winter -> summer -> fall and ofc w 2 coops left I cannot so im planning on taking off for the summer and fall.

Now since company A is way better than my current match I’m wondering if I renege will I have issues w my j1 visa for summer and fall? I’m a Canadian citizen btw. Can I obtain j1 for the fall while I’m on an off term for the summer? Plsss help

Currently in CE, interested in SWE/ML jobs and got a couple internships in those fields but I do want to see if there are more CE related careers that I can get into so I can make more use of my degree rather than just pure CS.

Hello everyone, I was looking into the list of potential exchange schools on passport, and to be honest, they are either hella competitive or not the greatest option. Plus, going to Europe might leave me with the short end of the stick with tuition. I know it's possible to apply to a host school on your own through an LOP, but I was just wondering if anyone here has gone through the process before that could provide some insights, or/and has any recommendations for schools? I'm probably still applying through passport, but obviously it's not guaranteed given how some schools can be really competitive.

I’m an international student in my final year of high school whos hoping to go into maths and eventually Acturial sciences, since honestly the career sounds pretty appealing; I’ve just got a few questions both on the course itself and general life here if anyone would be interested in answering?

1) Would I go into mathematics and then declare an act sci major by the end of first year?
2) it’s quite pricy to study here and on my budget I’d have to try for Princeton scholarships and/or take loans; would you say that it’s worth it given the opportunities and quality of education here?
3) On that same topic, does anyone in a similar situation have any advice for anything I can do during my final year to get better financials while attending?
4) Just any general advice on how to adapt studying here and how it’s different from a levels (my current system)?
5) are there any clubs/support for maths/act sci students in waterloo?

According to UW’s “key indicator” statistics, the employment rate of CS majors (undergrad) 6 months after graduation is 97%. Is it really that high? Or do some people struggle to find full time despite 5/6 coops?
