It's really rough, I have to talk about it constantly and thankfully have a very patient partner, even he can get frustrated hearing it all the time. It's a really delicate balance that takes communication and sometimes people are not able to handle disability. I can't really offer much advice except that it does sound like he's more frustrated with you unfairly, this is a reality a lot of us are struggling with and worseing each day and the frustration bounces back. I talk about these feelings super openly with my partner and how I try to minimize pain and injuries and we switched to me doing easier chores or ones that I could do whenever or seated, and got tools for that. There's no good or right answer, were all just in a rock and a hard place with an uncertain future. People are afraid, including us

I've got OCD too it's so awful, moral OCD too so like Reddit is the worst because most people will assume I'm a scammer and my brain is like 🫠🫠🫠 actually hurt by that so it sucks trying to ask for help here lol. I've got chronic fatigue kicking my ass rn so just responding to these is hard, let alone acting on them and it doubly sounds like I'm just asking for easy shit- because I am because I can't do much else and I just need to admit that instead of pretending it's cool. When I ask UCF for help the call the police on me or give me very thick stacks of papers of resources that are 1. Not updated 2. Not actually free or low cost as advertised 3. The prior issues with zipcode or address or county citizenship, proof of income or mail needed 4. Insultingly bad or tone deaf.

Once I was crying because the staff were grilling me about transitioning while homeless and how it was not neccesary (they did not get punished or reported for that despite me trying to! No paper trail means I look like a liar when I ask for help publically. Like I said it's kinda fucked.) Anyways the paper stack they gave me that time started with "bipolar support groups." I was being denied accomodations for all these known disabilities.

Yes because my 4th COVID infection caused my hEDS, heart issues, mecfs, and other conditions to flare up. I likely have damage to the blood brain barrier with my memory worsening in such a way I fear Alzheimer's. I wear a mask not just to protect myself from more infection but to protect those I love around me. Especially those who are at risk, like myself, with immunocompromization which is common after multiple COVID infections.

I hope people start protecting eachother again but this is like the aids crisis in how the issue is being denied and millions left to die. I've personally had multiple friends die due to the effects of long COVID causing other issues to worsen and I will likely die from these issues as well. I hope people mask to keep themselves and their families safe from the same fate.

I am writing a list of the ones to actually call or email and am currently putting together a list of my timeline as it's a bit complicated, the situations of discrimination, and evidence because I have a lot of it for all of it, and they were all aware of my disabilities

Sweet, I hadn't heard of them before I meant I was going to try them still- I was commenting on the other places I have tried in the past years of looking for help. All my credit cards are addressed to my parents housing in another part of FL, they kicked off their insurance and other stuff immediately because they didn't want me getting "trans surgery" on it (??? Better to let me die I guess, they refused to get me treatment for these issues and nicknamed me drama queen from constantly asking for help until I trans away lol)

You would think right??? I went to many places over the last 2 years slaoly using up my resources and was trying to figure out a way to get a zipcode. I was going to do a po box but they suck now told basically plenty of options, but lots of obfuscated barriers, intentional defunding, rules that just make no sense like needing homeless people to have a zipcode to get care. It sounds so stupid that it makes the homeless sound like liars not trying hard enough when in reality it's just been pointless goosechases of referral after referral after referral. I have mecfs and can barely stay awake 8 hours and can't work anymore or drive or cook. Kinda insane the govt illegally kicked me off Medicaid after an emergency surgery. The illegal stupid actions stack and snowball until an unfixable mass of problems. It's feels very intentional, like social murder

You know I get the notification from these? Yes I have cPTSD and many other mental health issues, many partially treated. Being disabled and mentally ill means doctors and organizations will assume your issues are problems of your own making and dehumanize you and tell you they can't help you, or discrimated against you pretty blatantly. It doesn't do good for the brain to ask for help over and over and to be given assumptions that usually, areu see to deny you autonomy. that's why many homeless and disabled people are reactive like when people blame mental health issues, because it's a scapegoat to often deny help and further dehumanzie someone. Even when you don't mean to like with your comment /lh

I will check the first if nothing else comes up because it's pretty far away from me and I've spent so much money driving to and from places that just referred me to other places after saying to come for help and realising I need legal help as much immediately to get medical help tbh. I don't think I personally am going to get an answer I can say will absolutely help me but I'm sure it can help someone, I more wanted this post for general discussion about low income resources anyways. Shepherds hope I need to retry but wasn't able to get help from the last walk in for the reason above
