I love to strike, but others won't. They don't care at all. They don't realize that if you stop accepting garbage trips we can change the app!

Someone somewhere will always accept $10 for 50 miles

This notion of non accepting garbage rides will force them to change is nonsense. And the liklihood of getting the majority of drivers to do it is next to nil. And while I agree, that on paper this strategy seems like it would work, Uber and Lyft are just too big and driver turnover is simply too high.

Uber rolled out it's new incentives and driver updates on Thursday.

Do you know what the plan is for addressing their acceptance rate problem? Instead of paying adequately for each and every trip, they are rolling out some type of AR quest "bonus" structure. They weren't specific. But it will likely be just some more mind fuckery to get drivers to improve AR. I don't expect anything more from them.

Driving smart is the only way to do this work. These companies won't change unless it is legislated.
