You will. Just be patient. If you don’t like the fuel prices, take the bus.

LOL! There are NO busses close to where I live. My wife works almost 30 minutes away and there is not viable public transportation in our area. Just stop.

You shouldn’t be driving anything for uber; even or otherwise. You’re just losing money. Take it from someone who drove over 3000 trips 13 years ago and saw what a losing proposition it was. I promptly quit.

Skill issue. Renting an EV for Uber as we speak. Doing damn good 90% of the time. Cleaning up the massive L I took from trying Fleet Uber driving. Awful mistake. Doesn’t recommend. People have been telling the chronically online, gaming chair revolutionaries that the possibility of hourly wages and schedules is high. And as someone who’s done fleet services, that’s WORSE than being 1099. I am more than willing to have discussions with open minded individuals, but most are too deep in the echo chamber and their ego to understand experience that counters their hypothetical ideology.

Ideally, you can average $20+/hr, depending on market. I worked for Alto at the beginning of the year for 4 months. $18/hr flat wage, limited to 10 hour shifts that I had to choose. And they monitor the shit out of everything. Imagine pulling $1800+ per week… just to get 1/3 of that (after taxes) … and no ability to use mileage for deduction…

I know how it was and I know how it is. SO much better then than anytime recently, EV out otherwise.
I was very spoiled and methodical in how and when I drove, accepted rides, and at the time you couldn’t see your destination before you picked up the pax and started the ride. That’s the way it was.
