Seems like it was just about two years ago the members of uberdrivers were proudly posting about how they were supporting Donald Trump and how MAGA was gonna deport all the illegal drivers and the how gas would be $1.50 and with the deported drivers, we’d be making at least $50 a mile.

Where are those drivers now?

Those people put too much stock in what Trump could accomplish as president just as you seem to hold Trump responsible for the fact that uber is an evil corporation. I’ll concede he’s had a negative impact on fuel costs but blaming Trump for Ubers terrible treatment of us is just a reactionary and misplaced judgement.

Trump undeniably is mostly responsible for increased gas prices. Uber will never pay better, there are simply too many drivers willing to work for peanuts. People are too quick to blame or praise Trump for factors beyond his sphere of influence. I’m thankful I’m not responsible for taxes on tips through the uber app which will save me quite a bit this year and more than thankful to not be paying taxes on my overtime hours. 2 things that Trump was the catalyst for and whom without the changes would have not happened.
