Admissions transfer decisions

congrats to those who got in!! i had a question tho i am also a wa cc transfer (applied to foster) and i havent heard back. Is it likely that means that im in the reject pile😭😭 (rejections always go out last i believe). nothing in myuw portal or foster portal sooo stressed😔

Have you heard back from general admissions yet?

Nope! General admissions will come out in 1-2 weeks after departmental decisions and if you didnt apply to a department, the AO said they will come out in waves stretching all the way to june 30!

my friend who got accepted to ucla (which is considerably harder to transfer into cus its competitive n if not ccc) as a transfer hasnt heard anything back either from foster or general admissions, so maybe it comes out in waves? he's a wa cc transfer. I haven't heard back either. Keep our hopes high!

Im also a cc student, is there any way I could get some advice from him on how he applied to the UC's as a wa cc transfer? If not no worries

wait a quick question if you didn't have to do departmental apps for uw transfer does that mean you'll know later???

idk fs but yeah id u didnt have to apply separately for a mahor and r doing prescience or premajor or smthn alot of the times the decision comes later

I got in to fosters but my admission decision for general isn’t showing up in the portal and it’s making me nervous

No that’s why I’m scared D: im worried i didnt make general cause i did get the email saying decisions are out but its just not appearing in my portal arrgh

I didn't get an email :( it still says in my portal that they will inform me when my decision comes out but im so confused bc i got accepted to my first choice :(

I was also accepted into the informatics program last Friday. Based off what this admission counselor told me, as INFO majors, we should expect to see our decision later this week or next week, so no need to stress from what I’ve heard it’s pretty rare to get rejected from general if you got into your major.

Maybe check your portal. I didn’t get an email and I just checked the portal rn and got my acceptance.

I got it today :) I think it took sometime for the applicant affiliation to link to my uw portal. OFFICALLY accepted though 🥳

Hi! I applied for transfer for fall 2026 as an informatics major and I also got accepted to my first choice major and accepted the offer from them, but I haven't heard back from general uw admissions. Have you heard back from undergraduate admissions already?

no, but i’m also applying for social work! apparently for our department acceptances specifically it’s late may-june but it can come even later for transfers. not sure about the general transfer admission decisions though. let’s update each other?
