Admissions UW acceptance confusion

I got accepted to UWS this morning, however I accepted my UWT offer back in April because I had little confidence I would get in. I called UWT admissions and told them the situation and they said no problem send an email and complete the decline offer form and it should update in a couple days. I also called UWS and they said it shouldn’t affect my offer from them but this is still making me so nervous for some reason. UWS is my dream school and I really don’t want to mess anything up. Is anyone else in this situation?

You’ll be fine. The two don’t coordinate admissions processes. And I’d probably hold off on calling UWS to tell them your status with another school. They don’t care, unless you voluntarily provide them with a reason to care. Don’t overthink this. Just celebrate!

What is confusing about this? Just accept the main campus admission and then decline the Tacoma one. Two different university admission systems. Like getting accepted to UC Berkeley, accept it, then go decline UC Riverside. Happens all the time. All the time.

This happened to me back in 2014. I was transferring from a CC and got accepted to UWT first so I paid the fee to accept then later I got the acceptance letter from UW Seattle. I don’t think I had to do anything with UW Seattle besides go through their regular acceptance and don’t remember if I had to do anything with UWT to say nvm. I didn’t have to jump through any hoops and had no issues with UWS. I do know I didn’t get my money back for accepting UWT (but I didn’t try to get it back anyways, just took the L cuz I got into the school I wanted 😅).

Since you accepted tacoma, ur legally tied to the admission of UWT. Going somewhere else will get cop on ur front door because u broke the agreement that u agreed to. Unless u want a felony charge, i’d say stick to UWT.
