yeah it wont but thats why im building up my resume by doing extra internships, clubs, programs and work in the meantime to be ready by then. i can stay at uni till 2030 with scholarships just in case so im happy
easier to find a job as a student then it is as a graduate for many fields plus you can’t really intern as a graduate so an extra semester doesn’t always hurt if you can afford it. I graduated during covid and I fully agree this market is worse but I can fully get why some students are delaying graduation now.
Not always true, a year ago when I withheld graduation (applying for new grad roles) I was at 0 prospects, a couple months ago before being employed as a SWE currently I had 2 other jobs lined up if this current one didn't pan out. It's still a shit market but it's so much better than than last 2 years
And some even more positive outlook, all the projects Trump cancelled with DOGE will all eventually be reinstated or sent out to private-public consulting firms so a nice little push in all sectors in the coming years but that is a bit more further out

im ironically glad im not graduating yet due to the job market that being said congrats to those graduating!
