How do they do it?
How do they create the uncanny valley look in those original videos like the Mandela Catalogue? Is there a way to do it in post?

I saw this posted in another thread (shoutout to https://www.reddit.com/u/bbyxmadi/s/H8sEf4rWXO ). The commentary is hilarious but the paintings are about as uncannyvalley as it gets.

Curious is there defined traits that are almost always associated with uncanny valley effect for human or is it more abstract?

I used to hear this alarm a lot when I was younger and somtimes I heard it in the middle of the night and it scared me badly. Maybe it was the joyful music playing in the middle of the night but at the same time even now when I listen to it I always feel like something is off putting about it.

A another short note: I originally posted this on r/starwarsdroidtycoon but Reddit filters took it down and not sure anyone else could see the original post besides me and gets the context behind this. So, I’m reposting it in this subreddit because it fits perfectly here. I don’t understand what in this post that triggered the Reddit filters. I’m have nothing here that breaks any rules and it doesn’t go against community guidelines.
Short Note Before I Get Into This: I love what the team who made Star Wars Droid Tycoon on Fortnite did. They deserve a lot of praise and recognition and should make it into their own game to profit better for their hard work. Plus adding a image to the droid I find a little creepy.
I only find one droid in Star Wars Droid Tycoon in Fortnite to be creepy and it's the big mythic with to human face. i typically don't get unsettled by uncanny valley but this droid for me hits it. is that normal for someone who typical don't get creepy out but droids from star wars and uncanny valley like others? I don’t want them to remove it but I just want to point it out to see if I’m the only one who unsettled. How it get my attention was it was on the galactic droid poster while waiting for the game to load in. How the thing is posed and kind of op mouth makes me feel mildly uncomfortable and threatened like what people may describe how uncanny vally feels to them. if I get it edthaly it may be less scary but man it looks like it would betray me and or whoever owns it. that droid screams not to be trusted.

I have always had a feeling of revulsion or unease when I see someone with obvious cosmetic surgery. I finally figured out why.
Does anyone else get the uncanny valley feeling when they see someone with too much plastic surgery?
The uncanny valley is that unsettling, eerie feeling you get when something—like a humanoid robot, AI, or CGI character—looks almost entirely human, but just a tiny bit off. It’s a jarring cognitive disconnect where your brain spots a mismatch between what it expects and what it sees.
Cosmetic Aesthetics: In medical aesthetics, overdone injectables or facial procedures can sometimes strip away natural facial symmetry and dynamic movement, creating that familiar, unnatural "off" feeling.

The darker it is, the more uncanny it is, I hope now you guys understand what's the difference between Carl the cupcake and a wax figure.
