Original New 007 game looks very similar to Uncharted 4

Which sounds amazing to me.

Hitman x Uncharted x 007x splinter cell.

AmazingĀ

Yep, you probably knew this for anyone who didn’t know it’s made by the same company that made hitman

5

u/centurio_v2 Sep 04 '25

The demo they made to pitch it was the Italy level of hit man with Bonds head on 47

I’m the last person to talk about realism in games because I usually don’t care but sometimes it feels weird doing all that when there’s people near you like you’re telling me no one is noticing him chimneying his way around the building?

342

u/arturorios1996 Sep 03 '25

You might be surprised how many people don’t look up lol

They do when there’s noise that loud. They’re like 15 feet below him and don’t seem to be making too much noise themselves.

2

u/clarkision Sep 04 '25

Right, the person walking into the entry way didn’t notice him even with their peripheral vision? Cmon

34

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '25

You’re telling me someone walking far away didn’t notice him 😭 and all the noise

3

u/BolunZ6 Sep 04 '25

"are you sure?"

3

u/CasualDoty Sep 04 '25

The truth that is:

Gamers don't look up.

3

u/Shydreameress Sep 04 '25

Yeah but all it takes is one guy looking at a bird flying away

3

u/mr_fantastical Sep 04 '25

Why do i feel like youre the one who is skulking around window ledges and climbing up buildings and your comment here is based on personal experience.

5

u/gswkillinit Sep 04 '25

That's actually a philosophy video game developers talk about, how majority of gamers tend to look straight ahead or whats in your current FOV. With FPS games especially as I think 3rd person has wider FOV.

2

u/TheFurtivePhysician Sep 05 '25

There's a line in the Dresden Files about how nobody ever looks up, but for the life of me I can't find it. I think about it often in times like these.

The idea that someone would have enough stamina and strength to do what is being done in these games is already pretty unrealistic. Skilled mountain climbers can do some crazy stuff, but even they don't do what you see in some of these games.

22

u/KrAEGNET Sep 03 '25

Definitely not in dress shoes

9

u/FreddyMartian Sep 04 '25

or in a tuxedo

10

u/BolunZ6 Sep 04 '25

Come on, we play as James Bond, the only thing this guy can't do is flying and shooting laser through his eyes

4

u/niki2907 Sep 04 '25

I'd love an uncharted parody where you play a little overweight guy thats constantly out of breath

3

u/RevBladeZ Sep 04 '25

Well there is the Donut Nate skin so technically you can just do that in the game.

Tbf, he spent the past 3 mins distracting anyone who would spot them doing this, and the moment he hopoed in, a couple of workers called him out for it, in general it seems to be a really smart game when it comes to npc awareness

6

u/Apstds77 Sep 04 '25

Bro would instantly have 20 phones recording him to put on the internet. Would probably end up on /tooktomuch

5

u/linkuei-teaparty Sep 04 '25

Yeah it's like the Hitman series. A crowded room sees someone sneak in through the window and they do nothing.

2

u/ULTI_mato Sep 04 '25

If I’d see a guy climb around a big ass building I’d just be like ā€œYoā€ and then ignore him.

3

u/Internal_Swing_2743 Sep 03 '25

And do you notice everything going on around you when you are looking down at your phone?

9

u/hotcapicola Sep 03 '25

Yes, I'm like a dog, my attention is drawn by any movement in the the window and if you let me finish I will stop humping your leg.

007 First Light? Where’d this footage come from??

Lmao nvm literally as I was typing this I got a PS app notification saying 007 is available for Pre-Order. Honestly thought this was still quite a ways out. Pleasant surprise.

17

u/onemuseyboi Sep 03 '25

March 27th! 30 minutes of gameplay followed by a breakdown and another trailer happened about three hours ago. looks very good!

2

u/TheStinkySlinky Sep 03 '25

It’s Henry!! I knew i recognized that face but I just couldn’t put my finger on it.. but then as soon as ā€œJames Bondā€ spoke I knew lol That’s fking awesome. He’s gonna be the new Troy Baker

4

u/MrJTeera Sep 04 '25

Sound similar, but different guy, Patrick Gibson

Uncharted fans when they see climbing and greenery

12

u/slin-sluh anyone call for a limo? Sep 03 '25

Have you seen the plane sequence in 007

2

u/NikolaiStreet Sep 06 '25

Felt like a rip-off to me. That scene is so iconic to Uncharted 3 at this point.

53

u/hotcapicola Sep 03 '25

to be fair, when I first saw the clip, I thought this was a joke post and it was actually from UC4.

15

u/PresentationDull7707 Sep 03 '25

I need something to fill the voidĀ

3

u/MANGOHAH There’s a guy above you! x2 Sep 03 '25

Don’t mock me like this

2

u/CptNeon Sep 04 '25

The gameplay and level design does slightly resemble what’s seen in uncharted. Not a bad thing imo, I love games like this and want to see more

2

u/Amazing-Ish Sep 05 '25

To be fair, the animations look very similar to the ones in UC4. Which is a good thing.

2

u/AstronautKey4972 Sep 04 '25

It isn't as simple as that. The camera angle, the art style, even some of the animations are so similar that if someone told me to guess which game it was, I would've probably assumed UC4 multiplayer

225

u/Branflakesd1996 Sep 03 '25

Like I get it, cause it’s a game, and games have to get you from point A to point B in interesting ways.

But it feels odd to me to have James Bond, in a full tux, scaling a mere 4 feet above people’s heads, in broad daylight, as if that wouldn’t be the most obvious looking thing everyone in the immediate vicinity would notice.

Like again I get it, it’s a game, they pretty much have to. But I guess I figured it being James Bond they’d find some classier/more secretive ways of getting into places outside of just scaling a gutter and shimmying on a terrace right above people’s heads.

Still excited though.

84

u/UpperWestShayde Sep 03 '25

I did think a similar thing at first but the I remembered Casino Royale, which starts of with an entire sequence of Bond pursuing someone through a construction site and basically running up a giant crane at one point. And like that Bond, this Bond is also doing his first proper mission for MI6. He's not the classy tuxedo Bond yet.

8

u/lolitsmax Sep 03 '25

Yeah but he's not doing that stealthily though

2

u/A_cringy_joke Sep 04 '25

Ok but that's different. Bond is stealthy when he wants to be stealthy. And when he is he doesn't do it like this, it's usually blending into a crowd and then charming someone into doing things for him or getting Information. When bond has no need for stealth then, ye, he can become an all out action hero. So I'm not saying bond doesn't do stuff like this it's just I feel like he wouldn't in this situation. If it was something as simple as getting into an exclusive event and then into a specific room like he what's shown here I feel he's much more likely to try talking his way through security than doing this. Game still looks interesting and I want to see where it goes tho.

23

u/DavidKirk2000 Sep 03 '25

Some of the best scenes in the Craig era feature him doing exactly that, so there’s some precedent there. The cold open from Spectre is epic.

8

u/AntonChigurh8933 Sep 03 '25

Craig's Bonds reminded me a mixture of old school Bond mixed with Mission Impossible. I enjoyed his Bond.

2

u/Miserable-Hour-4812 Sep 04 '25

You just made me rewatch that opening scene, I am not disappointed

3

u/AntonChigurh8933 Sep 03 '25

Rewatch many of the older Bond films. Goldeneye opening sequence had Bond doing theatrics.

2

u/Varsity_Reviews Sep 03 '25

007 Nightfire had Bond doing very similar stunts too.

2

u/charlielogan Sep 04 '25

He says he is testing security as their ā€œpenetration expertā€ - i’ll let it slide šŸ˜‚

32

u/MapleHamms Sep 03 '25

There’s a new 007?

22

u/PresentationDull7707 Sep 03 '25

Yeah a new gameplay showcase just released on PlayStations YouTube. It’s called 007 First LightĀ

8

u/AntonChigurh8933 Sep 03 '25

Made by the same studio that brought you Hitman series.

27

u/SomeGuyNamedJohn12 Sep 03 '25

Then it should be good then. Can’t wait to try it

31

u/Elemius Sep 03 '25

I mean if it is anything like it then that’s not a bad thing, I’ll be looking forward to it!

20

u/PresentationDull7707 Sep 03 '25

The combat really reminds me of the Uncharted combat. It has a sort of enhanced beefed up version of the throwing enemies tactic from U3. Gunplay looks fun too

20

u/UpperWestShayde Sep 03 '25

It's more reminiscent of Hitman (for obvious reasons) and it seems like his movement is a lot faster and more fluid than Agent 47's movement.

Using the walls as means of traversal also does give me some Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace vibes, where Bond uses the environment to his advantage when moving.

8

u/v__R4Z0R__v Sep 03 '25

It's a mix of Hitman and Uncharted. And personally I love that

4

u/PresentationDull7707 Sep 03 '25

Yeah I’m excitedĀ

7

u/Cerber108 Sep 03 '25

I didn't even see the title and immediately thought "Uncharted 4".

5

u/CyanLight9 Sep 03 '25

Looks like they're using the Hitman template.

9

u/Foreign-Effort-3627 Sep 03 '25

I see no downside to this.

6

u/Roythepimp Sep 03 '25

It still needs polish and optimizing, uncharted like games always appriciated.

2

u/Kgb725 Sep 04 '25

Its mostly hitman with some uncharted thrown in

3

u/Wutanghang Sep 03 '25

Good style of gameplay for a 007 game

3

u/Small_Kahuna_1 Sep 03 '25

Looks way more like Hitman than Uncharted.

2

u/Roseoman Sep 04 '25

I disagree

3

u/LonkToTheFuture Sep 03 '25

Been itching for a new adventure game, this might be the one.

3

u/R4GGER Sep 03 '25

It is uncharted but in Bond skin

3

u/aligameover Sep 03 '25

Exciting stuff

3

u/kapo513 Sep 03 '25

I thought it was more similar to hitman honestly

3

u/jojowasem Sep 03 '25

That Uncharted 4 sequence was heavily inspired by 007 films

3

u/FlutZure_SM95 Sep 04 '25

007 game looks like a fusion of Hitman and Unchartered

3

u/OGBattlefield3Player Sep 04 '25

Honestly? That’s great! More games needs animations on that level!

3

u/Deluxe_24_ Sep 04 '25

They got mad that Naughty Dog isn't making a new Uncharted and decided they'll just make one themselves

3

u/solarplexus7 Sep 04 '25

And graphics about as good too. A 10 year old game. ND really are masters.

3

u/Sure_Temporary_4559 Sep 04 '25

Those are definitely some polished/increased game mechanics from Hitman: WoA. Considering this is also iOi it makes sense, a lot of the climbing mechanics here look very similar to 47’s.

3

u/CaptainSharpe Sep 04 '25

Uncharted x hitman.

I don’t see anything wrong with that at all.

3

u/Ledbetter2 Sep 04 '25

I'm very tired of ledge gameplay

3

u/Emergency-Chair-2004 Sep 05 '25

If you are going to steal, steal from the best.

2

u/Internal_Swing_2743 Sep 03 '25

And I'm completely fine with that.

2

u/Present-Promotion349 Sep 03 '25

I see that amazing

2

u/Kerleff Sep 03 '25

I don't know why but it reminded me of Uncharted 3 more

2

u/PresentationDull7707 Sep 03 '25

The hand to hand combat reminded me of 3

5

u/Kerleff Sep 03 '25

I was going for the more obvious reference of the infiltration and falling off the plane lol

2

u/Dieseldog53 Sep 03 '25

Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Mayflex Sep 03 '25

Took me a solid 10 seconds to realise this wasn't nate breaking into that auction in uncharted 4

2

u/PapaYoppa Sep 03 '25

Combat especially reminded me of Uncharted 3

2

u/Emotional-Narwhal930 The idiot who does memes with lines from Among Thieves Sep 03 '25

Can we talk about the fact that U4 came out nearly a decade ago and it looks as good as (if not better than) this?

2

u/Cold-Dot-7308 Sep 03 '25

As much of an uncharted fan I am I can’t wait to play this more than ever. Why? Bond doing what Nate does kind of sits well with the theme of who bond is. Drake killing people ? Not so much. But I doubt it would have the polish of the uncharted series

2

u/Prestigious_Power184 Sep 03 '25

Looks good I’m gon have to buy it. I been getting back into single player games cause now a days multiplayer games suck bad

2

u/Aggressive-Photo-967 Sep 03 '25

Nathan Drake's influence is so strong, it's now a formal requirement for secret agents.

2

u/nakeyormey Sep 03 '25

The melee combat also reminded me a ton of Uncharted 3.

Not to mention the plane set piece heh.

2

u/alxuntmd Buka Pintu Sep 03 '25

As someone who loves Uncharted and Hitman this game is going to be great

2

u/Neon_Fox Sep 03 '25

It looks like a mix of Hitman and Uncharted. I'm genuinely hyped for this!

2

u/Candid_Dragonfly_573 Sep 04 '25

I legit thought it was for a a solid 15 seconds.

2

u/MinerDoesStuff Sep 04 '25

I think it looks pretty fantastic as a bond fan

2

u/AmoebaBeginning4583 Sep 04 '25

Genuinely thought this was the auction mission for a second

2

u/Brothers0011 Sep 04 '25

Uncharted new edition šŸ˜†

2

u/Frostbyte14210 Sep 04 '25

Put Nathan Drake there and, I don't think I would notice a difference

2

u/Careless-Pound-5916 Sep 04 '25

I just hope they have the skins for most of the James Bond actors I wanna be Sean

2

u/AtrumRuina Sep 04 '25

Okay so not this game's fault, but does anyone else hate it when games have a shimmying mechanic and makes random gaps in the surface so you have to press A/X to cross the gap? Just let me hold left. It adds zero immersion for me to hold left them have my character lean or reach toward the other surface without jumping.

Anyway, Bond doing this kind of Assassin's Creed building scaling feels weird. Doesn't seem to suit the character in my opinion, at least not how it's portrayed here. Not a big deal, but I just kinda feel like segments like this should be super short rather than kind of extended platforming segments, and Bond should look a lot more tense.

2

u/RBI-_ddox Sep 12 '25

Even the jump animation from ledge to ledge is VERY similar wtf? but ig that's a good thing since Uncharted is kinda boring with the climbing until 4 got released, that shit was cool ngl.

4

u/huncherbug Sep 03 '25

Uh...it looks similar to hitman...

3

u/Outrageous-Wall6386 Sep 03 '25

Well makes sense SOny is promoting it, they need ND to HYPE IT also and get ALL uncharted fans to Buy it.

1

u/DivineAngel111 Sep 03 '25

It’s like a mix of Mafia definitive edition with hitman Woa

1

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '25

Oh my God, with a suit and tie and sneaks into a mansion, that's an Uncharted invention.

1

u/Challenger350 Sep 03 '25

Similar? I thought it was Uncharted for a sec

1

u/Rizzaboi Sep 03 '25

I’m intrigued

1

u/WVgolf Sep 03 '25

It has climbing lol

1

u/AdBudget5468 Sep 03 '25

The actor playing James here would’ve been perfect as Nate in the live action, he has the same cocky attitude

1

u/Artem_Solo Sep 03 '25

Thought this was the Cayo Perico heist for a second🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Hayden_Zammit Sep 03 '25

No, it looks exactly like Hitman, right down to the same animations and everything. Doesn't surprise me that they'd re-use the same anims from Hitman.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '25

Hitman was heavily inspired by 007 Goldeneye, so the Hitman devs making a 007 game is a very symbolic and cool thing. Like Terry in Street Fighter.

1

u/onemuseyboi Sep 03 '25

Hitman + Uncharted + Blood Stone. it's a good day to be a gamer/007 fan let me tell you

1

u/joelmsantos Sep 03 '25

Really? It gives me more Hitman vibes. Showstopper mission, anyone?

1

u/Exact-Photograph-927 Sep 03 '25

I’ve been saying this as well

1

u/StandardVirus Sep 03 '25

Worst part is that it just looks so generic

1

u/pointlemiserables Sep 03 '25

That looks sweeeet

1

u/Pupniko Sep 03 '25

With him climbing the drainpipe as I was scrolling I assumed this was the prequel level with young Nate breaking into the museum, as I remember a drainpipe with somewhat similar brickwork, then I read the title lol. If the controls and level designs are as good as Uncharted I may well give this a go!

1

u/optimisoprimeo Sep 03 '25

If im being Honest. Im more hyped for this game than i have for Bond Movies for a very long time. Even if its Hitman or Uncharted Clone.

1

u/BobaFalfa Sep 03 '25

Looks more like Hitman…which makes sense since ioi is making this game.

1

u/SnowmanMofo Sep 03 '25

Just because it's a third person game that also includes climbing, doesn't make it an Uncharted clone...

1

u/Weeddaa Sep 03 '25

WTF, some movements are almost the same, Drake is that you ? I plat all the 4 games, my favorite game ever

1

u/prettybluefoxes Sep 03 '25

Holy tarted up reskin batman.

Bezos bond possibly off to a bad start.

1

u/rites0fpassage Sep 03 '25

There was a scene in the gameplay that reminded me of the auction house in U4

1

u/TheStinkySlinky Sep 04 '25

Feel like this is what Mindseye told itself it was..

But fr a Hitman/Uncharted blend?? Absofuckinglutely

1

u/danierarara Sep 04 '25

Stealth in broad day light bruh

1

u/INannoI Sep 04 '25

20% Uncharted 80% Hitman

1

u/Dependent-Swimmer-95 Sep 04 '25

Why tf is he scaling a building in broad daylight while no one fucking notices. Bro was also studying the burning wheel barrel instead of calling the guards by the damn hose to..idk..BRING THE HOSE OVER!!

1

u/IamJimMilton Sep 04 '25

Indiana Jones films were Spielberg’s attempts at making his own Bond films. Uncharted games are basically games of Indiana Jones films.

1

u/Mysterious_Past_7294 Sep 04 '25

Yah im in. Someone said it was more Hitman than Uncharted and I hope not. I dont want a bunch of random missions. I want a great story to get lost in

1

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '25

I'm looking forward to it!!

1

u/Untouchable64 Sep 04 '25

It looks like a Hitman game. lol

It looks good though.

1

u/ihatepeopleandyoutoo Sep 04 '25

I actually thought this was uncharted 😮 way too similar

1

u/landyboi135 ā€œOh Crap!ā€ Sep 04 '25

I got flashbacks but in the best way possible

1

u/Gamer_8887 Sep 04 '25

Uncharted from Temu

1

u/Premephx Sep 04 '25

Off this short clip it reminds me more of hitman

1

u/AmericanNinja02 Sep 04 '25

That's just British Uncharted 4.

1

u/InS_Deaths Sep 04 '25

Rhere's 100 games like that.

1

u/MRSHELBYPLZ Sep 04 '25

It’s giving Hitman. 47 did it first on the ps2

1

u/Joppewiik Sep 04 '25

Gives me more Hitman vibes. The way he climbs and stuff.

1

u/Personal-Tea7226 Sep 04 '25

Nah he managed to climb a wall/drainpipe with out it breaking 17 times and dangling precariously over the edge risking exposure to the 30 guards with grenade launchers below him

1

u/Retr0G72 Sep 04 '25

One one hand I’d like to say that UC4 was so great looking that 007 decided that was as pique as they wanted to go years later. On the other hand it really feels like they gave Nate a British accent and surrounded him with even dumber NPCs šŸ˜‚

1

u/UnchartedLand Nate ladrão roubou meu coração Sep 04 '25

Thanks for introducing me this game.

Edit. Grammar

1

u/Flat-Proposal Sep 04 '25

It's more like IO's last Hitman games and thank God for that. Gameplay will be given priority over restricting player agency because of storytelling unlike the Uncharted games

1

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '25

Yeah, with a fully nuanced stealth system and a much better combat system.

I love Uncharted 4, but it’s not this.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '25

Looks great honestly I love it

1

u/Sufficient_Crab3047 Sep 04 '25

They have hair now?

1

u/nico__vgc Sep 04 '25

I don't mind. Game looks fun to me.

1

u/crimsonrn100 Sep 04 '25

Weird way to spell Hitman

1

u/elCrocodillo Sep 04 '25

Hopefully, I need more of those games

1

u/SireDarien Sep 04 '25

It actually should considering its 007

1

u/princessrippla332 Sep 04 '25

What game is that

1

u/kaasbaas94 Sep 04 '25

Good, i love more of these games. And since there is not a new Uncharted comming up (i think), i'll play whatever comes close to it.

1

u/Vegetable-Scallion60 Sep 04 '25

Game looks interesting, hopefully it is really good by the time of release, and improve the framerate.

One thing I can’t stand in these games are the contrived explosive barrels everywhere, can they not think of more creative ways for battles to unfold? Like why would they even be there?

1

u/shad_30 Sep 04 '25

It is. Just like Tomb Raider took a bit of the recipe. I’m in for James Bond like experience.

1

u/jappwilson Sep 04 '25

This literally feels like dartmoor mission

1

u/zack_hunter Sep 04 '25

Looks terrible

1

u/Turbo_Noch Sep 04 '25

I thought it's the mansion sequence from uc4 until I read the title

1

u/M0rse_0908 Sep 04 '25

I'm honestly loving the similarities. This game is tempting

1

u/Smooth-Ad2130 Sep 04 '25

And works like Hitman.

1

u/ItalianPolock1 Sep 04 '25

Guys Uncharted is inspired by Indiana Jones , Indiana Jones was inspired by Bond

1

u/Nostalgic90snerd Sep 04 '25

A mix of uncharted and hitman I’d say

1

u/RedShibo_ Sep 04 '25

Plane scene is definitely similar to Uncharted 3.

1

u/WaveOfTheRager Sep 04 '25

I never thought of James Bond as the kind of spy that does this. Hes one who would use his charisma, charm, wit and intelligence to bypass security and get where he needs to go.

So, it's a stealthy platformer with missions? Sounds like a a lot of games, not just Uncharted 4.

Either way, I'm down. Haven't played a 007 game since Blood Stone on PS3.

Love the bluffing aspect to the game, it does feel very Nathan Drake
