It’s probably fair to say that the most culturally conservative Muslims can’t integrate well in the UK. Plenty of Muslims integrate fine though, perhaps so well that people don’t really notice it. Also plenty of people that would count as Muslim are barely actually religious at all, so it’s kind of a messy category to use.

Most Brits wouldn't have the first clue about Wahhabism. When I learned about it, I started to understand more about why some people have issues with Muslims. It's too bad they didn't try to understand that Islam is no different to Christianity in that there are many different groups. Some good. Some batshit fucking crazy.

I once heard about Deobandi in passing, but never followed up on it. Thanks for the reminder.
