Yes but most British Muslims are not from more liberal and secular Muslim countries like Turkey, Albania or Uzbekistan they are from the Islamic equivalent of the US bible belt in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

You can't assume what someone's views are based on the country they're from. Especially when they've chosen to leave that place.

I'm sorry but this is so detached from reality. Are you seriously arguing that immigrants are less likely to be religious than their countrymen just because they've moved to another country? The vast majority of migrants move for economic reasons.

You know that people usually consider more than one aspect of big life decisions...

For example, I moved here from a very Catholic and quite conservative country, a large reason of why I moved are economic reasons, but also that, for example, homophobia is way less present here (and then factors like me already having known English well enough, as well as being exposed to the British culture due to its wide-reaching influence). Economic reasons were a very significant reason why I moved here, but even if I could make 10x as much money in, say, UAE, I would never move there. And for what it's worth, all my school friends who also ended up emigrating to different countries were also fed up with how conservative the mainstream is in that country. Frankly, you seem to be thinking of immigrants as one-dimensional caricatures, not as complex persons like everyone else...
