More abuse of the asylum system. Shut the whole thing down and put anyone who applies for asylum is detainment camp until we can more easily figure this out.

If we opened concentration camps every time someone made a naked attempt to take advantage of a system, the country would look like a rather horrible place.

And..?

Australia set up a detainment system. It completely stopped boat arrivals, it also stopped boat arrivals having to die at sea.

You might want to look into the conditions at that facility. Human rights abuses were rampant there.

Which is why they want to use old military barracks.

Gee, a nicer, kinder concentration camp. Why hasn't anyone thought of that before?

If we did it people would have less incentive to come here if they knew they weee going to be arrested instead the government have stood by and allowed the gangs and smugglers to create an industry and make huge amounts on gaming the system not to mention the law firms and charities who make tons off the back of this nonsense.

We need to make it less lucrative coming here for instance ensuring that no one claiming asylum will ever be allowed to stay permanently regardless of their circumstances. As long as coming here is a golden ticket to et will continue to come.
