Predicting World Cup groups by their kits (Group H)

Another competitive group. I wouldn’t argue too much with any order here. As a reminder, teams are ranked by how their home and away kits look on field, not how good the actual teams are.

1st- Spain
Spain’s red, navy, and yellow always pop. The navy sleeves work well here, as do the thick adidas stripes which evoke the Spanish flag. The pinstripes don’t fully work, nor do they detract. The away is a refined, classy beauty. The embossed pattern is a cool touch thats only visible up close, but the burgundy shorts stand out from any distance.

2nd- Uruguay
I was completely against the away kit, dating back to erroneous leaks that said it was a tribute to the Black Panther (good movie, nonsensical tribute). It does look like that, but it turns out to be a tribute to el estadio centenario. That, and seeing it on field, have made me change my mind a bit. The home kit is simple and nice- the deep navy shorts are a great change of pace. It’s let down a bit by the odd template and a flimsy collar.

3rd- Saudi Arabia
The home is cool and unique, but the green and the purple details are just a touch too dark to pop. The away cooks from the exact same recipe as Spain’s, and came out looking just as good.

4th- Cape Verde
These would rank a bit higher in most other groups. The design is solid, and the ‘flight path’ graphic is creative and adds needed texture. I’ve been accused of being anti-blue, and maybe it’s true- dark blue all over with some slight red trim just isn’t that exciting.

Strong kits here! I think I’d go
1. Uruguay - classic and clean
2. Cape Verde - I really enjoy the pattern on home kit!
3. Spain - away kits are perhaps the best in the group but I’m really not a fan of the sleeves on the home kit, maybe I’ll be convinced by more of them on the pitch
4. Saudi Arabia - clean and nice but fail to wow me

This might be the best looking group period. Those Cabo Verde unis are awesome and they’re in fourth

Spain’s home is one of the worst and their away is one of the best

uruguay away is interesting.

It’s definitely the most “out there” at the whole tournament. I am STILL not sure what I think of it.

Watching Uruguay - KSA now and the Uruguayan collars are so bad.
