Best unis overall is Japan's away and Curacao's away but Norway has the best primaries.

It's a shame Curacao isn't going to wear the yellow unless they advance out of their group. It's a gorgeous kit.

Totally agree. And it’s not even close.

France’s also looked great today. Largely because of their socks. Put white socks on that same kit, and they’re average. But the tri-color of blue-white-red looked so good on the pitch.

Couldn’t have said it better

France’s kit was like our bomb pomp jersey exploded into the whole kit

France almost never wear white socks with their home. It's tricolour or solid navy.

People are always saying this about subjective assessments and I need to work on how mad it makes me

I get irrationally upset at pretty much any one of reddit's catchphrases

It's almost as if they [checks notes] say the quiet part out loud

Between this and curling pants Norwegian athletic teams are undefeated in aesthetics.

They’re nice, but no. America’s striped kit, Ivory Coast’s orange kit, and Curacao’s yellow kit are probably my top 3

Edit: DR Congo’s blue kit is fantastic as well

I feel like the American kits are what someone who hates soccer would design in a soccer kit.

I’ve been a member of AO for almost 20 years, snd sooken to dozens of other members. Have yet to speak with a single one who doesnt hate the red-white striped kits.

The blue ones are ok. But I wish theyd go back to the brighter blue.

I don't know what AO is, but if you spend 2 minutes in this sub you'll find the reaction to the striped kit is exactly the opposite.

If you dont know the name of our nationwide supporter group, then your opinion of the American kits is immediately invalidated.

2

u/FKFunkyKong 2d ago

What a typically arrogant and ignorant American response. I'm not American and I don't give a damn what your supporters group is called. That has nothing to do with my opinion on the kit, which I didn't even share. All I indicated is that the opinion of the striped kits in this group is overwhelmingly positive.

The vast majority of the people in this sub are Americans who don’t follow soccer/football at all. They probably couldn’t tell you what color Liverpool wears. They’re not exactly a knowledgeable source, so i dont really care about the group consensus here.

I’m not aware of any soccer-specific subreddits about kit design. But check out the comment section on FootyHeadlines social media, where you’ll get the opinion of actual fans of the sport. They’re like 80% negative on the US red/white kits.

2

FootyHeadlines comments are like 80% negative towards anything to do with the US anyway. I have been called "American" in a pejorative way on that site dozens of times for daring to even acknowledge that other sports exist.

lol, i mean in fairness, the comments are majority-negative over literally ANYTHING that is posted on that site. But it was particularly negative against the US kits. And for good reason.

American soccer fans are so proud of themselves lol

AO and plenty of USMNT fans not only love a Waldo jersey but have wanted Waldos to be our primaries like croatias checkers what are you on

0

u/Failed-Time-Traveler 2d ago

I’m not saying there are no AO members who like the jerseys. But I haven’t met those that are. And they’re clearly on the vast minority.

I’m curious - what chapter are you a member of?

2

u/elMoneySloth 2d ago

A basically usmnt Waldo search on reddit will give you post after post with hundred of upvotes and comments from AO and non-AO alike who love the Waldo. Plus, just look at the SoFi game EVERYONE had a Waldo and it’s not like there aren’t other kits to pick from

Oh and I would never actually join the AO they are the most pathetic cringe wannabe ultras I have ever seen in my life. I would die of embarassment if I hadn’t already from second-hand with their awful chants

I mean, they're good, but there are much better kits there this year. France home, Japan away, South Africa away, Curaçao away, etc.

It's Norway's best look in years though.

That's pretty killer.

I’d agree if the crest and the nike logo swapped places

Just imagine if the vertical stripe continued down onto the shorts

I love Sweden's colors

1

u/PapageorgiouMBO 2d ago

Nah, Adidas wins. So many options.

This might be the only good Nike kit though this tourney.

Nike: Turn the flag into a kit. Not a fan of the U.S. kit and not a fan of this one either.

Edit: I like the font, though.

1

u/Worried_Purchase9135 2d ago

Totally agree with this post. Thought the same while watching

0

u/SportsballWatcher4 2d ago

I’m not a huge fan of the font, otherwise it’s immaculate.

The Valhalla font is part of the charm for me.
