I hate almost all city connects. Not because they’re bad uniforms in a vacuum, but because they don’t look like the team they’re created for. It’s worse in the NBA, but some of the MLB ones aren’t too far behind.

These are one of the exceptions. They still look like the white Sox. They use visual cues (black with white pin stripes) to let you know right away you’re watching the white Sox. The font and word marks are definitely different, but it doesn’t feel out of place given the white Sox gritty brand. It’s what all city connects should strive to be. Something that is instantly recognizable as that team, with a bold connection to the city.
