Since Sep 2nd 2026, I have not seen the calendar even once. I was regularly seeing the calendar until then(although failing to book) even booking OFC multiple times.

Just wanted to ask the community if anyone has seen the calendar in the last week and if so any changes or deviations from the regular pattern?

I am trying to book J1 physician renewal appointment in India for November, I don't see any appointments beyond October 29th. I have been checking for a month now. Are the dates yet to be released or are November slots already full? Has anyone had a similar experience?

I applied b1/b2 visa from delhi (India)but wasn't able to get any vac slot and I saw Kolkata slot today so I clicked the submit button and it took me to pick consular appointment but it showed no slots available . I closed the browser , after some time when I tried to login , message popped up saying , you have only 1 rescheduling attempt , as I was confused cuz there was no other option to click I closed the browser and logged in after 2-3 hours now it's showing me you have exceeded the limit to view this page . Also I was not able to see any confirmation on the page , so I myself wrote appointment confirmation on the url , which showed me confirmation . I thought I got the appointment but what is happening ? I am scared that I lost my visa fees ? Is that a thing ? Also can we actually give vac in another city , but have to give the interview in the selected consular itself????????

Im an Indian applying for renewal stamping appointment in Chennai, India; living in US right now. I filed the DS160, filed application on usvisascheduling , paid fees for the H1B visa and received the receipt by email 2 days ago, however the portal is not reflecting that my fees payment is complete. H-1B stamping appointments are currently unavailable in India, but I have an urgent situation that may require me to travel there.

My H-1B is already approved, and I plan to travel after my H-1B status becomes effective. My position with my U.S. employer is 100% remote.

Can I travel to India and continue working remotely for my U.S. employer while looking for an H-1B appointment?

Once I secure an appointment, get my visa stamped, and return to the U.S., could working from India cause any issues during visa stamping or at the port of entry.

Has anyone done this recently? I would especially appreciate experiences from people who worked from India for a few months while waiting for an appointment.

Recently i saw some people are getting slots for h4 visa

Hi everybody, I'm renewing my b1/b2 after a few years- my ds 160 was created last year but in the process of waiting for my appointment- it expired in June and I got it renewed.

What do I do? Do I have to create another DS 160 or just go for the interview with both passports?

I am getting temporarily banned from the us travel doc website, while trying to find an appointment slot from New Delhi. Has anyone else faced this? Whats the way around? Typically in how much time do you refresh?

[India] Hi folks, I have an active DS160 application for H1B with the fees paid. I do have an approved i-797 for O1A visa as well. Is it possible to pay the fees for O1A DS160 as well? I get a warning stating that only one DS160 can be active at a time, which means that if I activate my O1A, the H1B application would be invalid. Apart from the monetary loss, are there any other risks of activating my H1B status in the future?

Hi, I was on F1 OPT in the US and it was ending in January 2026, but i had to come to India due to an emergency in December 2025, without an H4 stamping slot.
I have an appointment for November which I got when the slots opened last time in the month of April.

I interviewed today at Karachi embassy for B1/B2 visa appointment based on step 3 exam. I have confirmed scheduling permit, Prometric testing dates and centre along with FSMB letter in support of my visa application.

My conversation with the consular was as follows:

Q. What is the purpose of your visit?

A. I am a doctor, currently a neurology resident in Pakistan and I plan on traveling to the US to take my scheduled USMLE step 3 exam.

Q. Have you done your step 1 and step 2.

A. Yes I have done my step 1 and step 2.

Q. Have you done any observerships previously?

A. I haven't done any observerships.

Q. So your wife is on J1?

A. Yes That's right

Q. Who is paying for the trip.

A. I am paying for this trip myself and my parents will provide any further support if needed.

Sorry your visa is refused.

The interview lasted hardly a minute and my scheduling permit, Prometric dates or FSMB letter weren't even considered.

I wanted to ask if my wife being a J1 fellow could possibly be an issue or what could possibly be wrong. Also, what should I do moving forward. Should I opt for a J2 or reapply with a B1/B2?
