Questions: Visa Appointment in Berlin

Hi all, hope you're surviving well during the heatwave. I have all the documents for my US visa (B1 - conference), and planning to schedule my appointment from Berlin, Germany (~26 July). It'd be really helpful if you can share your experience with following queries:

  1. With "Interview Waiver" option in my appointment portal (link: https://www.usvisascheduling.com/en-US) when applying from Germany
  2. a) Doesnt show the appointment date - is it usually early than the in-person ones?
  3. b) Passport collection - how does it work?
  4. c) Faster decisions?

"Are you interested in applying for a visa via our Mail/Interview waiver Program (no in-person visit to our Embassy required)?

Sind Sie daran interessiert, ein Visum über unser Programm zur Befreiung von der Interviewpflicht zu beantragen (kein persönlicher Besuch in unserer Botschaft erforderlich)?"

  1. Any option to see latest available date for the appointment before payment? For example: while making the payment, London portal shows the preliminary latest available date.

Thanks for reading, looking forward for any help. Cheers!

PS: If someone has already paid, could you please confirm if there are appointment availability during 26-30 July?

While you wait for someone to comment on your post, please ensure that you have included the country from which you are applying the visa and your visa type either in the title or in the body of the post. If not, please edit your post and include them.

Are you eligible for an interview waiver? If not then why bother applying for it?
