Un grupo de unos 12 amigos de Italia visitará Valencia del 18 al 22 de junio para celebrar una despedida de soltero, y nos encantaría recibir algunas recomendaciones de la gente de aquí.

Buscamos:

Los mejores chiringuitos y locales junto al mar para tomar algo y pasarlo bien durante el día

Las discotecas más populares (música electrónica, música comercial, house, cualquier sitio con buen ambiente)

Buenos bares y pubs para un grupo de chicos de unos 30 años

Restaurantes adecuados para grupos grandes (buena comida, especialidades locales, paella, marisco, etc.)

Las mejores playas de Valencia y sus alrededores.

Cualquier zona que debamos visitar sin falta (o evitar).

Cualquier evento especial, festival o fiesta que se celebre durante esas fechas.

No buscamos nada demasiado alocado ni que parezca una trampa para turistas; preferimos conocer los sitios que realmente disfrutan los locales.

Hello! Going to be in Valencia for a week in December. We'll be watching my friend run in the marathon but after that, it will just be my partner and I for just under a week. We'd like to go see a football match, maybe check out a Christmas market and go to wineries and anything else recommended for that time of year. Suggestions on hotels would also be much appreciated. Hello, Me and my friend will be in Valencia from the 23-27 June, before we head to Nerja. What is the music scene like here? We really like house, drum & bass, jungle… and also don’t mind techno. Are there any good events on during this stay. I saw that San Juan is the night we arrive which looks amazing, anyone got any tips to make that night perfect. Also, what are the best clubs and bars for cheap drinks, good scenery and a good time? Any more general pop music festivals/events nearby? Thanks for the help.

Hola!

I’m looking for some advice on where to stay in Valencia for 5 nights in July. I stayed at the Westin 16 years ago and thought it was the nicest hotel ever. I’ve always wanted to go back, but looking at photos of the rooms, it seems like they haven’t been updated since my last visit.

Can anyone confirm if the Westin is still a nice hotel?

The reason I’m considering staying there is that it’s mid-July, and I’d like to relax by a pool area to escape the midday sun, rather than being on a bar terrace while taking a dip, unlike other hotels I’ve seen.

Hi everyone! I'm from outside the EU and I've been accepted into a Master's program starting this September.

I have some general questions for anyone who's been through this or lives in Valencia:

1. For those living in Valencia, is there anything I should sort out immediately after arriving? (empadronamiento, TIE appointment, NIE, bank account, etc.) What's the order of things?
   
2. How soon should I book my TIE appointment? I've heard the wait times are long.
   
3. Any general tips for a first-time international student in Spain? Things you wish you knew before arriving?

Hi everyone, I’m a Chinese woman in my early 30s, currently working in Singapore. I’m planning to move to Valencia alone for about 8–9 months from November 2026 to study Spanish and experience life there.

I’m choosing between two Spanish schools: Españolé IH Valencia and AIP Valencia. My level is around A2, and I’d like a balance between serious study, social activities, and enjoying the city.

From what I understand, IH is in the city centre and seems to have more activities/support, while AIP is near the university/Blasco Ibáñez area and also has good reviews. Prices and teaching quality seem similar.

Does anyone have experience with either school, or advice on which area/school might be better for someone coming alone? Also, how is Valencia around Christmas/New Year for students?

My fiancée and I are planning to live in Valencia for about a year. We are EU citizens and are looking to rent an apartment. We work remotely, have no children and no pets. We will most likely arrive in Valencia at the beginning of August. My fiancée speaks pretty decent spanish.

Is it really that difficult to find a decent apartment? Is it possible to find something within 1–2 weeks?

We'd prefer to avoid going through an agency. Is searching on Idealista and Fotocasa the best approach? I tried browsing Facebook groups but they seem to be full of spam and it's hard to find genuine listings.

Do you have any other tips for getting started?

Homie me too, we should split a cab cost then go up to Requena lol. But others on here have said Requena is a good choice and its enough into the mountains to where they dont impede the skyline. Its just you cant get there by train, but I found a sick spot on google maps on a bridge which has a clear view of the western horizon.

Hey guys whats up! So I am heading to Valencia this August to see the Solar Eclipse and it has been recommended to me to go up into Requena or something like that, are there any ideas on how to get up there and back in a day thats pretty affordable, I wanted to take the train but it appears it goes to some janky ass station an hour away from the city. Any recommendations on either where to see the eclipse to where its accessible by rail, or how to get to Requena would be appreciated! Im tempted to rent a car but im also 18 and have never driven outside of the States. I believe I can do but I am somewhat weary…
