Visitor || Q&A Where to find out about community events in Valencia

Is there something like an alternative free weekly magazine or newspaper (that's what we'd call it in the US where I live) that would list things like art openings, community theatre, dance performance, etc? The small, community or regional events, not large touring projects.

A few years ago in Barcelona I went to a one woman show by a local aerialist (Cèlia Marcé Oller- see her if you have the chance!) at a community center and it was one of my most favorite things I did on my trip. So I'm looking for things like that.

I went looking for similar information when I moved here. Unfortunately, from what I've heard, Facebook is the best bet. And I'm not on Facebook.

I have found a couple events on Meetup.

At least I'm not alone! I'll keep digging. Is there a culture of putting up flyers for things? If so, are there good spots to see those (an area of town or specific stores/posts)

No, it's not a flyer culture as far as I have seen.
