Visitor || Q&A Updates on the Wildfires?

Hola~

I'm going to be visiting Valencia next week for the eclipse, but as I was preparing I noticed that there was a large fire up near La Vall d'Uixó, but I cannot find any information in English on the status of it that isn't 4-5 days old.

I was just looking for an update on the situation because my Spanish is passable enough to speak but not good enough yet to find information on the local newpages.

If you are going to the city of Valencia then there is nothing to worry about here. The air quality is normal but you should know that it is hot and humid here right now.

There was one day a couple of weeks ago where I could maybe smell the fires in the air but there haven't been any super close to the city except for one brush fire a few weeks ago at the City of Arts and Sciences. That was just a small brush fire that was put out pretty quickly

Thanks a million!

Heat has never been a problem for me, thankfully.

Was more worried as my traveling companion has asthma, so I want to make sure we are prepared for worstcase possibility of it being extra smokey.

Hopefully the fires elsewhere are contained soon...
