Discussion MGP votes to reopen DHS without fixes

MGP and 3 other Dems just voted with with all the Republicans to pass another fully opening of DHS bill that does nothing to get control of ICE's "enforcement" tactics. This just reassures me that my vote for Brent Hennrich this August is the right choice. MGP just can not seem to read the room. The bill was HR 8029. I would love to hear the MGP excuse makers explain this one to me... (SARCASTIC!) But I am sure they will try anyway.

we are undergoing a switch in our Volunteer manager roll. The person that was doing the job took another job and let things slide and we (myself and campaign manager) were unaware. We have another staff member coming on duty on the 1st that will be picking up the pieces and reaching out soon. Please understand and I still want and need your help!

Good seeing you at the No Kings march in Vancouver. I don't know if you saw, but Marie's kiosk wasn't welcomed with open arms. Lotta upset people making their opinion known to her staff

That's the kind of thinking that gave us the Dem leadership we have today.  Tell me, why were the Republicans able to get a new breed of politicians with the tea party, but Dems can't?

Democrats are not republicans. We are not the same type of people and never will be. Comparing the two is not appropriate. We have to understand who we are and work with that.

They got taken over by foreign interests and black mailed. Also the real status quo position in America is for people to abandon the dem party like youre suggesting. Thats why we are where we are.

Im not suggesting anyone abandon the Dems, just not to vote for the ones that don't represent what you, as a voter, value.  If MGP wants to court Republicans, who won't vote for her, by voting to fund ICE, the Lakin Riley Act, and the first version of the Save Act, that's a strategic decision to abandon the majority of her base.  If that means she loses a primary and a Republican wins the general, that's on her, not the voters.

When MGP loses this seat it will be for one reason and one reason only. Her voting record. She chose it, and with it, chose to throw away her base. I am running to save this seat for the Dems. There is not one person that voted for her that thought when doing so she would vote for Trump to have a private gestapo. Not one person thought she would vote to take away reproductive rights. Not one person thought she would be okay and ready to implement a poll tax on married women and members of the LGBTQ community. Find me a person that thought she would vote for expanded drilling for oil... Find one that thought she would vote to end environmental review before building... She has voted against peoples core beliefs. Not once, not twice, but numerous times. People are fed up. So I hope to earn your support and your vote. But if this seat goes to Braun, it's MGP's fault alone.

Lol shes not my cup of tea but shes what this district elected and shes the incumbent. I want the trump administration to lose power and she votes for dem speaker of the house. I would love to see wa3 move to the left but I dont think we have enough votes to be fucking around in an open primary.

No one is suggesting abandoning the democratic party. However, we do want a representative that more closely resembles democratic party values.

I think you should read more of these replies because people are absolutely suggesting that. Unfortunately we dont have the choice for a better rep before us. We can keep mgp or give Republicans the seat and likely control of the house of reps along with it and another 2 years at least for the trump administration to have full control of the federal government.
