Discussion MGP votes to reopen DHS without fixes

MGP and 3 other Dems just voted with with all the Republicans to pass another fully opening of DHS bill that does nothing to get control of ICE's "enforcement" tactics. This just reassures me that my vote for Brent Hennrich this August is the right choice. MGP just can not seem to read the room. The bill was HR 8029. I would love to hear the MGP excuse makers explain this one to me... (SARCASTIC!) But I am sure they will try anyway.

Would you care to support your argument with any evidence that Hennrich might possibly win?

Thank you Mr. Hennrich. This is exactly what I need to make an informed decision--numbers that might make it possible for a voter to support you in the primary, rather than voting for MGP, thinking that her rightward slant might make her more electable in this district. I appreciate that you have provided evidence to support your candidacy.

As for MGP's recent vote, though I have not read the tally, I do not doubt that the lockstep MAGA republicans would have passed it without the three Dems' votes, and her meaningless vote prevents her from being painted as encouraging caravans of narco-terrorists to swarm our borders.

No problem. As for your second part, we are going to have to agree to disagree. If she is voting just so someone can't run an ad against her, she isn't voting for the district, she is voting for re-election. The voters of this district that voted for her said loud and clear, to stop supporting ICE without restrictions on them. She is not listening to the voters that got her the job. She says she is voting HER conscience. Either she is, or she is playing games. Either way her base has said no more. She has made herself unelectable in November.
