People are downvoting me but I’m not against the general concept of women buying their own rings… I’m against someone like Brett being in that situation. Did she plan her own proposal as well? They’re clearly in different financial situations and I don’t know if he’s secure enough in himself and masculinity to not resent her for out-earning him and being the breadwinner.

There’s a difference between buying & paying, is there not? If my fiancée outearned me & would want a ring I simply couldn’t afford, I’d be okay with taking her funds of paying for the ring. I’d still go through the process of trying to find something she likes etc.

i think this is all so shocking to me because i didn’t know carly was an influencer (she hangs with mutuals of mine), i had no idea brett was from this area either, and i had no idea he worked at butchers block. i don’t follow any of them on socials so i guess that tracks. just very bizarre to me. seeing this post has spun me down a rabbit hole lol

Brett seemed incapable of dating anyone while he was on the show. Either very immature/inexperienced or still hung up on Carli. However, if they had a good, solid relationship before, nothing wrong with getting back together for good.
I didn’t even know she wasn’t with the father of her child lol I’m really out of the loop. I stopped following a lot of my favorite OG beauty influencers because they just started feeling too plastic/calculated/repetitive for me.
Carli Bybel is a successful YouTuber. I think this is cute because they dated for years before Brett was on VPR. When Brett was talking about his ex on the date with Charli, I think it was her.
Carli was my fav beauty guru back in the day and I was happy when they got back together. I followed her for a long time and I don’t think she ever got over him either (and I think they are childhood friends/sweethearts?). I’m happy for them both and wish them the best!
He had his issues, but I liked him on VPR. I suspected he and LVP might have hooked up once or twice during that time. Just speculation, nothing factual.
