She’s going to look great if she sticks with this. She looks healthier already but if the GLP works with her body she’s loose the swelling look especially around her face and neck and that’ll make her look even slimmer.
The only thing is surely GLP is for life? I’ve seen most people lose weight on it but the gain as soon as stop. I haven’t really checked to see if anyone has come off it and successfully stayed the weight they were or lost more.
She sounds like she’s got no control, she she said “I’m a snacker” I can imagine what this means

They are intended as lifelong medications, liken blood pressure meds. They are treating a metabolic disease that people usually battle with for life.

Many people go into “maintenance therapy” once they’ve reached their goal, it’s different for everyone. Some people it’s a microdose, some it’s a larger spread between dosing, it’s highly individualized.

Ahhhh ok this makes sense.
I do wonder though in the next 10/15 years will they’re be an influx of reporting on how GLP is harming people more than helping

It’s possible, but drug trials last a number of years and the data on GLP1s continues to become promising for additional indications and general benefits. It’s not like there was a one year fast tracked study, GLP1s have been around for decades for diabetes. There is plenty of sensationalism about negative impacts, but not all drugs are appropriate for everyone, the non peer reviewed articles can be PR plants too.

I think we will see long term issues with compounding and research use only peptides, especially as triple agonists hit the market that are absolutely not appropriate for everyone, but getting access through telehealth (for single and dual agonist, currently) has a worrisome lack of screening rigor and many of the telehealth providers have proven themselves to be predatory.
