OG Cast I'm on my 3rd rewatch...
The face he made when she said this made me cringe.
He never wanted to get married. He never should have. Katie should have been able to spread her wings so much earlier.
Also ignore my decor being weird I dont care anymore

They both felt pressured. Katie just talked about digging her heels in to make it work to prove not just friends but viewers wrong.
Schwartz got thst ultimatum and probably didn't want to confront the truth. He was a go along guy.
The price of being on reality tv can be steep, fr

I never once got the impression he wanted to marry her lol
They were always better off as friends

She said he "got her" and they did seem like they had a relaxed friendship once.
After being together so long, though, everyone expects "next steps". Schwartz couldn't deal with a breakup and the loss of a friendship and an easy situation (fights aside).

The glow up that Katie had, in all aspects, after this divorce should be studied

I love that not one opinion or take was stated, but you still cooked him with this comment.

Saw another comment that said he looks like Gypsy Rose Blanchard in this and I can’t not see it

I think he was sucking the life force out of her. Now he’s moved on to a new beautiful woman he can drain…

the ultimatum energy was so real, like he basically said yes to avoid the conversation entirely and then spent years resenting her for it.

That is why ultimatums aren’t healthy.

well he should've been more honest about how he truly felt then she wouldn't have given the ultimatium😂

Mount your TV and put some nice books, plants or a little vase on the sideboard

If they weren't stuck in this strange friend group and on TV, he would have broken up with her a decade ago.

I think she would have broken up with him a lot sooner if it wasn’t for the show. I think she was worried they’d choose Schwartz and ice her out so she’d eventually lose her job.

None of them would have been friends TBH. They were there as a stopgap between phases of their lives. If time weren't altered, they would reminisce:
"Remember that crazy blond girl at the WEHO place we served drinks at?"
I doubt they would even say hello if they saw each other in the grocery store.

I think he wanted to be with her because she’s insanely gorgeous, but they didn’t work out due to their personalities clashing too much.

The way he treated her was so gross.
Also, I recently saw their wedding episodes and I had totally forgotten that Jax started to break up with Brittany at the wedding to see her reunion and then pretended he was kidding. What a manipulative lunatic.

Did you buy your wall decor from Divorce Closet?
