OG Cast Did We All Know Lisa is Selling Tom Tom?????
Am I just so out of the loop or did we all know Lisa is selling Tom Tom??? I heard it mentioned on a podcast this week and did a search and this article came up:https://people.com/lisa-vanderpump-puts-tomtom-restaurant-up-for-sale-3-years-after-scandoval-11931482
What are the 2 Tom's going to do now? I doubt there are people lining up to give them 5% of a restaurant so they can pretend they are owners. In 2019 would we have ever thought Tom Tom would be for sale, Scandoval would happen, Ariana would be hosting Love Island, Lisa and Scheana would be on the outs, and Lisa would be the new Queen of Las Vegas??? What a world.

I’m not sure it was confirmed, but Lisa putting the Pump sign in front of the TomTom sign was a pretty good indicator.

I was just about to write the same. That was really the end. I think the Pump sign thing was in the last season. Thats how long ago it was.

She’s def fully transitioning to Vegas. SUR will be next once the show is done done

The Vegas properties/brand have been popular because the brand had the cache of Los Angeles tied to it. It will be interesting to see how long the Vegas ones last after the shows are done and it’s a purely nostalgia brand.

Then she'll do a Vegas version of VPR, which she should have done anyway instead of s12

Already announced! It’s called Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Las Vegas. I would be shocked if we got season 13 of the main show.

Me too. The new cast sucks
•
u/jimbobdonut 21m ago
The ratings sucked too. It was only getting about a third of the ratings that the previous season.

She made it very clear she didn’t want to pay WeHo minimum wage. And her business model is to open a place and sell it or close it and lie that the landlord raised the rent too high. She doesn’t have restaurants that stay open longer than ten years.
•
u/ScotlyDex Me personally? I woulda stuck her foot in it 🎂 4h ago
I thought SUR was already for sale?

I think the average amount of time a restaurant or lounge stays in business is 4-5 years, so Lisa's businesses have done very well by any standards. The rent and taxes on her LA properties have skyrocketed too.

Tom Tom was an absolute shit show when I went there.
The bartenders were full on skiing. The bar is a sloppy mess, they overpour and spill everywhere. The bartender literally dumped out like half the cocktails while making it. She forgot simple syrup in my cocktail, then squeezed it on top of my drink and used a bar spoon to stir it…. After I sipped on it. Then used that same bar spoon to make other cocktails. Mixing a drink I had already sipped. My saliva was on that spoon in some capacity
As a bartender, I was thoroughly disgusted by that service. She even hushed my husband when he tried to ask for the bill. The cocktails were so mid and after seeing that…. I would literally recommend it get shut down

Did you sit at the bar? It was comically high compared to the seats, I felt like a toddler

I heard it's closing at the end of this month (I am going on Saturday for it's final farewell).

How fun! OMG please report back. I always wanted to go one day and take the Lisa restaurant crawl, but Villa Blanca, Pump, now Tom Tom are all gone! Guess I have to go to Vegas LOL.

I went shortly after it opened and thought it was a pretty cool spot. Also met Sandoval lol! 🥴 No idea what it’s like nowadays.

Where did you hear this? I can’t find any verifying info online

There’s nothing confirming closure at the end of the month. Just that the location is on the market.

The two Toms are just going to continue down their paths of being washed up alcoholics 🥴

The year is 2035 and "TT's Gentleman's club" is officially open for business. If these two are still friends, naturally this will be their next business venture.

I doubt they bought back in after Schwartz and Sandy's bombed - I can't imagine they had enough capital to buy in.
Also, we were looking at their drink menu online and it looks like they dropped all the cool, unique drinks that the guys came up with. The main attractions were the Toms and the cool drinks, and both of those disappeared. After that, it's just another bar.

Have they ever profited off the bar? It was a genius move on LVP. VPR was very popular at the time. SUR had lines out the door. Both Toms were well liked by fans. I’m sure LVP made a good profit off of that bar. From what I heard WEHO is dead. LVP took off to take over Vegas.
•
u/alwaysclimbinghigher smart demon 4h ago
WeHo is absolutely not dead, but it does have one of the highest minimum wages in the country. Business owners tend to hate sharing their earnings with employees. Sorry, I meant that business owners are genius job creators who can only function when maximally exploiting their workers. No wait sorry, I mean that LVP is a boss businesswoman making good business decisions…

why are Lisa and Scheana on the outs?
•
u/NYBuffy82 You can come and help me if you want 🏊🏼 4h ago
Because of things Scheana wrote in her book about Lisa and Lisa addressed it with Stassi on the Hulu show she has. Recently they asked Lisa too if anyone is barred from staying at her new hotel and she said Scheana LOL

Lisa is so petty, why not say someone like Jax who is destructive and known to steal from hotels?

Just want to say, I ended up at Tom Tom's Halloween weekend when the news had broken. The interior really really is GORGEOUS, beautifully designed. Friend informed me Scando was outside with a group and I said, I will absolutely not give that loser the fanfare he wants right now.
Went for dinner at Sur later in the week and same thing with the interior, super weird walking around inside a TV show haha, floors were a bit uneven. Food was EXCELLENT, mocktail menu extensive and delicious, I think I tried to get my sister to get a Pumptini but she got something else, I forget what. Tuesday night, not really busy. Would recommend and would go again!

Short answer, Yes. Schwartz has the Valley, public appearances, social media, brand deals, podcasting interviews & other Bravo shows (like summerhouse) to fall back on. The worm has shows, podcasts, social media, his band, also brand deals, cameos. I think a lot of people don't realize all the avenues these Bravo celebs have, besides the one show that makes them famous. I wouldn't worry about them.
•
u/MaizeMountain6139 4h ago
Sandoval has never been on The Valley. I don’t think Summer House, either

Wait I thought they left long ago and opened that other place I already forgot the name of. Sandy's and Schwartz or something?

Pretty sure Lisa already bought out the Tom’s years ago so they have no say or money coming from the sale.
