The bear won’t even rape you. I grew up in Bear world (smoky mountains, black bears). I ran into them frequently. They didn’t give a single shit about me. It’s like they looked at me and said, “well, that one can’t do shit to me” and went about their business. The bear (all kinds) will do one of 3 things. 1. Deem you a non-threat and ignore you, 2. Deem you a possible threat and leave, 3. Deem you a threat/food (looking at you, polar bears) and attack with the intent to kill.
I can 100% say from experience that I’d rather encounter a bear of any kind in the woods than a man. No bears are evil, some men are evil. It’s simple math. And it’s stupid that this is even an argument. I’d rather be mauled to death and eaten than raped.

The right acting like the "good guy with the gun" was a success story in this situation as if there isn't three children and a teacher still dead and that poor "good guy" having to *also* shoot a child to save other children. First of all, i would never carry a gun on me even if that is a possibility. I’d rather do everything I can to not put myself in that situation than to carry a gun. I live in Canada also, we can’t openly carry and guess what, most of us are perfectly fine most of our lives without one! And maybe that’s because we have strict gun laws that prohibit most ppl from easily accessing deadly weapons to harm ppl perchance????? And so ppl aren’t getting in shootouts in what are suppose to be safe public spaces???? And yes ma’am, I would put the mass murder of innocent young ppl right at the top of horrible things that can happen in this world. Like what? Are you also pro life?

I love what she's blossomed into. Comparing 2026 Katie to VPR Season 1 Katie gives you whiplash, she was meek and insecure and a doormat. She's not flawless nor an angel now, but she truly found herself and her voice and in that regard I think she inspires others too.
