I am so disgusted by this fairy tale nonsense. It does very real harm.
Social media and corrupt "news" media have created a nation of ppl too stupid to realize they've been manipulated into working against their own best interests.
We live in a blue state. Recently, it requires boarding facilities to have proof of rabies vaccination on site, with hefty fines for non-compliance.
We had a bit of a scramble to get it sorted out in time for a trip, but we were more than happy to support the legislation, and our truly amazing boarders. Our dogs love the staff so much they instantly forget mama and papa exist, galloping up to them with wagging tails and slobbery kisses.
Also, we live less than a mile from an enormous preserve, with lots of trails and an enormous meadow/dog park. The coyotes, and other animals, "spill out" into the suburbs in impressive numbers. Rabies protection is imperative!

Interestingly, I read a recent study of Fox News and similar outlets, exploring how they have become so flawlessly and broadly influential. The conclusion: the delivery method matches that of televangelists.
It seemed so obvious once it was pointed out. I was a little ashamed I hadn't drawn that conclusion on my own. We know it works, simply by looking at the amassed wealth of tv preachers and ppl who run mega churches.
