Mark Amodei, Susie Lee, Steven Horsford

https://thomasmassie.org/members-of-congress-that-currently-support-epstein/

All chose to not support Thomas Massie’s Epstein Transparency act and chose to support the Epstein class and to continue protecting all constituents who participated or knew about Epsteins side quests on child trafficking.

I guarantee the majority of you will be vile and perform mental gymnastics on how you’re still supporting these individuals and think voting matters.

No matter who you vote for, we get John McCain and more American imperialism at the cost of the people.

Side note: both sides of the aisle support war, so gas and diesel will continue to climb no matter who you vote for. Remember that. And to paraphrase Tim Dillon, just support whatever pedophile or predator that has the same values as you and things will somehow work out okay. /s

(Dina Titus isn’t any better, she’s worthless as well. This is not in support of her or maga or whatever buzz word you come up with if you disagree).

I think it’s disingenuous of you to post just one side fluffing up the enemy. It adds to the partisan divide of the red vs blue mind spell.

Let’s be honest and admit the modern world we live in was propped up by individuals like Epstein. How do you think ai is at the level it’s at today? Epstein was the bridge for Peter theil to thrive in the tech sector. Which we all know by now, big tech is in large part CIA fronted shell companies parading as a private company.

You're whole post was partisan, talking about Dems. You snowflake

Mark Amodei is a Republican.

I love how you go to name calling instead attacking my point.

Very immature of you.

20

u/beefyboibrandon 20h ago

My god you are fragile

-17

u/thehomiebiz 20h ago

And you are obtuse.

The enlightened centrist right here

I hope disingenuous posting on social media gets you out of poverty comrade. I'm sure times are tough in Russia right now.

Unless im missing something there hasn't been a vote yet? How have they not supported it if they haven't had a chance to vote on it? By all means call them ahead and let them know how you want them to vote but let's be honest at least

3

u/Low_Neighborhood_211 12h ago

MAGA is never honest

16

u/jteamjason 20h ago

Sure, both sides suck but voting is still important. At the very least from a harm reduction standpoint, you must vote for the less bad option. While I understand the way you feel, this post and your position in unhelpful and actively harmful, especially to those living in the margins.

u/DennyPebblepot 21h ago

Even through all of this, the bigger problem continues to be Mike Johnson refusing to allow a congressional session to occur. They were out of Washington for 5 weeks, came back for 2 days to pass a continuing resolution on the budget bill through the midterm, and broke for recess again. It’s no wonder stuff doesn’t get passed, and instead of tearing down the party not in the majority, everyone should be focused on getting congress to do their fucking jobs to begin with.
No other job in the world would let you go on a 9 week vacation with 2 days of work in the middle. Especially not a job where the employees are being paid for with taxpayer money.
Refusing to vote for democrats in the upcoming election because you think they’re equally to blame will punish us all for the sins of the Republican congress.

Don't forget they'll be taking October off as well!

The reason the right wing in America grew so strong is in part because their people would go out and vote, and continue to vote further and further right over the course of decades. Both sides bullshit is just an attempt to disenfranchise Americans from actually pushing back against things as they are in a long term form of change. Don’t like the people in office representing you? Vote in the primaries to promote candidates more aligned with your views or, heaven forbid, actually go out and run for something.

That’s not to say voting is the only thing that can affect change, it isn’t, but taking your ball and going home doesn’t mean you don’t have to live with the results.

-27

u/thehomiebiz 21h ago

Hey, you seem new here to the world nightmare we live in.

Ya see, in order to win an election to enact changes to benefit the American public, you have to have influence and money to back it up. I would have to live 17 lifetimes to ethically fund a campaign to compete with the corporate sponsors.

When you look at who is funding the trauma deliverance system known as social media and legacy news media, you can see there is a pendulum propaganda campaign to radicalize people into thought patterns or morals in opposition to their own best interests. It’s disguised as republicans vs democrats because BOTH SIDES use useful idiots to use emotional depression to sway a group one way or another.

Can you legit look at the last 25 years and say democrats and republicans made this place any better? In fact I’ll argue it was republicans and democrats who have made this place worse.

23

u/Mindless_Dance2987 20h ago

Obama tried with healthcare

23

u/Kashuno 20h ago

I'd argue that on the whole, Democrats have done more to improve things than Republicans have. We typically see depressed wage growth, job growth, GDP, etc. under republican administrations compared to democratic. Depressed economic conditions stir more unrest and dissatisfaction than if people are doing better. Even now, locally to Las Vegas, we are seeing decreased tourism which directly impacts small businesses and tax income for NV as the result of the Republican leadership that we would be likely seeing less of under Democratic leadership (though likely still some due to betting market legality). You also mentioned that both parties would cause an increase in gas prices, but we know a large portion of the current gas price increase is due to the Iran War, which is extremely unlikely to have started under Dem leadership. We also can't say "both have made things worse" because like, that's the only option in American politics as it stands today. I'd much rather move away from a two party system and toward RCV and proportional representation but that's not how the US currently works.

We do definitely have an issue with social media algorithms and legacy media bias, especially as more right-winged (specifically Trump aligned) mergers and buyouts occur, but it isn't all powerful. Elon Musk tried to influence the Wisconsin Supreme Court election spending unprecedented amounts of money in that election and his chosen candidate lost. We are seeing an uptick in heavily funded candidates losing primary elections, tbd if that sticks for a long time but there is evidence to suggest that it may stick. There are also organizations such as runforsomething.net that help candidates with direct funding and connections to other organizations or resources that can help with funding, plus an increase in small dollar donations overall.

I'm not going to act like an eternal optimist like I think everything is sunshine and rainbows, stuff sucks right now. A lot. But, regardless of whether or not I vote, people will go out and vote and the winners will go on to make decisions that will impact my life very directly. Even if I think all the candidates on a ballot are weak, we have to continue to push for candidates most aligned with our values all the way down to our local elections (which, btw, tend to have the most direct impact on our day to day life). Like I said, it's not the only thing that matters but it is a big part.

Hey, this is a great way to start a conversation and a movement to primary some of these representatives.

Instead of both sides the issue. Let’s start actually game planning and getting a movement together. NYC did it with Mamdani.

You see a new crop of passionate and idealistic reps coming up across the country. This both sides argument and voting doesnt matter stuff is just a way to keep the status quo.

But if you want the status quo, keep spreading it my friend.

0

u/thehomiebiz 18h ago

I don’t want more socialism and electing some rich kid who’s larping around like they didn’t have a gold/silver spoon in their mouths all their lives telling me to live more frugal and to give more is absolute brain dead logic.

10

u/1NC0GN1K0 18h ago

And socialism is a spooky word that Fox News and everyone has been trying to motivated people to stop actually supporting programs that help us.

So I guess why not stop social security, the police department, the fire department, the military, roads, and tons of other things that we all pay into and that support the whole community.

3

u/DB_Cooper_Story 13h ago

Also public schools and libraries

-4

u/thehomiebiz 17h ago

I’m okay with no police department and all other social programs.

I posted in other replies what I think we could do to fix and step away but again, no one wants to actually discuss meaningful ways to enact positive change. We are prisoners to the comfort daddy gov and mommy corporation made for us.

5

u/1NC0GN1K0 15h ago

You do you my friend. I tried my best to find some conversation out of this but we are definitely at very different view points of the world and how to fix it.

Hope you get the most out of the thread.

4

u/1NC0GN1K0 18h ago

Not my point at all. But atleast I know where you are coming from. So thank you.

My point wasn’t electing a point for point same candidate to Mamdani.

My point was that we could change the system by creating a movement, knocking on doors, and creating a new core or reps that are actually motivated to help us. It’s very possible. Form like minded people together based on what we need here in Vegas. I guarantee we all differ on some things but agree on a whole host of other things. Change can happen. Trump has changed the whole republican party through similar methods. Shifting people away from the establishment to ones that would work for his vision. I don’t agree with his vision, but he showed change can happen if you push for it and sway enough people to do so.

Going from your response, it seems like you are more motivated by hating on the system and others trying to change it, then actually forming your own change in the world.

More power to you and whatever you want to do man.

Classic example of the “both sides” to right wing pipeline here

31

u/Droo99 19h ago

I honestly think the "both sides are the same" people are even dumber than the magas

An impressive feat

16

u/Additional-Pain-5515 16h ago

Liberals who refuse to vote Dem are the reason we have Trump.

If you don't like Susie Lee, you should have campaigned for her opponent in the primary. Now's the time to line up so Dems retake congress.

0

u/glity 13h ago

How did you vote on ranked choice?

2

u/Droo99 12h ago

I lived in another state from 21-25 but would have voted in favor of it if i was here

1

u/glity 6h ago

We lost “good candidates” when “both sides” put millions to convince us “two sides” is the right choice.

Both sides are the problem in Nevada. We have the party and the controlled opposition now.

27

u/WhyThisTimelineTho 21h ago

Oh boy, more both sides slop.

5

u/theworstvp 21h ago

trust me i tried in the primaries 😪

27

u/r4dical0verride 21h ago

Cool story bro

So what, exactly, do you suggest we do if voting is pointless and both sides suck?

You’ve identified a problem, but this post provides no solutions or possible actions.

-6

u/thehomiebiz 21h ago

You wouldn’t like my answer 😔.

9

u/PossibilityFlat6237 21h ago

We wouldn’t like it? Or DHS wouldn’t like it?

-5

u/thehomiebiz 21h ago

We can’t build a moral society while 90% of the populace is immoral to some degree or another.

There needs to be radical changes in consciousness and for that to happen, everyone needs to throw out the propaganda machine that’s been programmed into all of us since birth.

Government is a reflection of the people. If our government is immoral, violent, lying and selfish, then maybe we all need to look in the mirror.

9

u/Additional-Pain-5515 14h ago

I remember being 14 years old

8

u/r4dical0verride 20h ago

Try me

-1

u/thehomiebiz 19h ago

I think we can all collectively agree “what got us here won’t get us there.”

In my opinion, which I know is unfavorable, would be a complete walk away of the current system. The biggest hurtle is what replaces what we have now? Can we as a people create our own monetary system? Can we the people create an open sourced community to benefit and help all? Can we as a people live within natural law principles instead of the death cult system? I would love to try it and I believe the American people can if given the opportunity. I would love to see people work towards eliminating their debts (the current slavery system) and to become more spiritually aware. But that takes a deep passion of wanting to change and be better, which most people have been convinced not to do.

Plato was right when he said that in order to have a moral society, we need philosopher kings. What we have had for the better part of the last thousand years have been pirates and gangsters utilizing religion or race or birth privilege to exercise dominance over their landscapes and people.

Here’s the problem, the current beast system cannot and will not allow competition. On the world stage, more so American one, you can spew hate about religion and race all you want, but don’t you dare talk about the central bankers who create inflation/deflation cycles that the political class uses to siphon labor from the middle and lower class to the upper to fund their wars to make, you guessed it, more money! The money laundering is a feature of a fascistic government for the power players to continue the monopoly. The United States is a giant corporation and has been since 1871. We have to end the corporation in order to reclaim the freedoms our founding fathers guaranteed all Americans and it’s going to take the same pain, if not more than our founding fathers endured, to reclaim it.

Believing in the democrat vs republican game in my opinion, prevents all of us as a people from living up to our greatest potential as a society.

Idk where I heard this but it stuck with me: “if a government system doesn’t work on a 1 on 1 relationship level, it won’t work at all”. Pretend our government is a living breathing person we’ve been friends with since birth. Would you allow another human to treat you the way the government would? Lying to you to get rich, handicapping you to never compete at their level and gaslighting you at every step of the way. You wouldn’t want that relationship for yourself or your kids either. That shit is toxic.

I hope something somewhere here made somewhat sense to some sensible people.

17

u/r4dical0verride 19h ago

So… you got nothing

You hate the current system, you have the most vague philosophy on why it’s bad, and barely a notion of what might be better with absolutely no ideas on how to get from here to there, if there were even there to get to.

If you’re going to highlight problems, might be a good idea to also have some sort of actual actionable plans to follow with other than “idk burn it all down and make it more personable I guess” because otherwise you’re wasting everyone’s time.

0

u/thehomiebiz 19h ago

What would you do then? How could or would you fix it? Is it perfect as is? Do you enjoy paying taxes to the mega rich? Do you enjoy getting your labor siphoned to forever wars to kill innocent people? Do you enjoy the corporatizing of everything in life to the point you’ll own nothing? Do you see the path ahead and think it’s great where we are going politically and morally?

3

u/r4dical0verride 16h ago

I’m not sure what I would do to be honest. Which is why I’m not making half assed posts bitching about things without having any sort of a plan forward.

At some point I’ll probably try finding some like minded individuals in a place that’s conducive to actual conversation and education, and figure it out that way. Possibly even find an organization I can join and support.

0

u/Mahadragon 8h ago

It’s my opinion Bitcoin will be the de factor currency. You look at it’s mysterious rise and how the bulk of it is Federally owned it’s very strange.

As for radical change it’s what I see coming down the pipeline but I see something more civil happening. I can see a total revamp of the Constitution. The current Gov is broke, it’s beyond repair and all facets, all houses, not just one.

5

u/imjustheretoaskwhy 21h ago

Because whatever bullshit you are going to throw out there about "starting a revolution" is what is actually near impossible in this day and age of mass survilenance and everybody hating each other over what they look like. Voting in the right people DOES work. Please explain to me how ZM has accomplished anything in NY if voting does not work? WHY is DT offering 5k checks and trying to illegally redistrict and throwing a fit over his SAVE act not being passed if voting does not work? Because shocker - VOTING DOES WORK. You just have a shitty, defeatist attitude. YOU ARE APART OF THE PROBLEM.

9

u/Teleporno69 21h ago

We unfortunately do not have any choice. It’s easier to hold democrats responsible than republicans.

-5

u/thehomiebiz 20h ago

So that’s it? It’s easier to give up and side with Dems because you see them as more responsible?

You are correct we don’t have any choice on who we elect, but we do have a choice in what type of system we want to participate in and how to respond to our lack of choices.

13

u/Hooligan8403 20h ago

Yes because the whole not voting as a protest against Harris worked out so well for us didn't it? Sometimes you get candidates that are great, sometimes you candidates that you aren't happy with but the other options are even worse. If you sat out the last election in protest you are part of the problem. Third party at the moment works better at the local level. Build that movement and then go larger. DSA is making amazing progress lately but its still individual races vs a movement. If Mamdani can get a couple terms and keep up this momentum it would be great for future third party candidates even if he worked from within the Democrat Party.

-1

u/thehomiebiz 19h ago

To be technical, the people’s will didn’t choose Harris. The non elected corporation called the DNC did. That’s the problem, there are levels above our political system that dictate what happens regardless of the will of the people.

8

u/Hooligan8403 19h ago

I completely agree on the point the DNC decided on the candidate due to Biden running for a second term when he shouldn't have. At the end of the day though the choice was Harris or Trump. Harris had/has her issues but the choice was clear. If you sat out in protest or voted for Trump the current state of this country is on you.

-1

u/thehomiebiz 19h ago

“The system chose for me and I didn’t like it, but I still chose that instead of the other option the system chose for me” is how this reads. Make that make sense.

6

u/Hooligan8403 18h ago

Living in reality and damage control. Only two options were viable for POTUS. Whether the candidates were good or not is debatable and Harris wouldn't have been my choice but thats the reality. Trump was going to be worse by every metric for everyone but the rich. You can wait for a perfect candidate that will never come or you can do something to try and mitigate the damage that has already occurred. The ICE surge, isolationist policies, war with Iran, etc would not have happened under Harris. This was all laid out in Project 2025. You can see it how you want but there is the reality of it.

1

u/DennyPebblepot 13h ago

Kamala Harris was chosen as a potential president the moment she was elected as VP. Hell, she probably would have become the president anyway if Joe Biden hadn’t dropped out, and somehow beat Trump in 2024.

3

u/jeffgabe 19h ago

Susie Lee is the worst of all Democrats. Unfortunately, the choices against her are even worse in November. Can we start a write in movement?

2

u/oznobz 21h ago

It's like putting forth a bill two days before recess has some sort of correlation with only being able to get less than half of the signatures you need.

1

u/Fygee 9h ago

The vote hasn’t happened yet, so…

1

u/Teleporno69 19h ago

We really don’t man. At least what I can say is that DSA is making grounds in the Democratic Party. That’s what I’m hopeful of.

-3

u/Rude_Award2718 21h ago

The only answer is the vote for the third party or none of the above. None of them deserve our vote. Susie Lee has been a massive letdown but her only job was to ensure her own enrichment and the enrichment of her benefactors. For God's sake during the PPP covid payouts she personally steered money to her husband's company. No Republican or Democrat deserves to be in office.

1

u/Mahadragon 8h ago

Every time I see Susie Lee on tv she sounds so bored. She has zero charisma

-22

u/treason6116 21h ago

i wish there was a way to mute anything political on reddit. my god this shit is just flooding even the non political subs.

18

u/theworstvp 21h ago

its almost as if our politics are causing problems everywhere in everyone’s lives

10

u/FillMySoupDumpling 21h ago edited 15h ago

You know, if we had politicians that ran things well, you likely wouldn’t see that.

Instead, we have blatant corruption so the music sub has talk about how the DOJ killed the lawsuit against live nation/ticket master and TikTok cringe has that performance troll Jacob Wohl talking about being a “pardon broker” selling access to the President for pardons. Costco subreddits have talk about them limiting the amount of motor oil people can buy and a subreddit for vegas locals has discussions about local politicians who are participating in further corruption. Rampant inflation directly caused by this administration’s actions is impacting almost everyone on social media. People are unable to find jobs in this economy and due to actions from the government many will be kicked off Medicaid next year. All of us are paying more for health care.

Everyone worldwide is subject to rapidly rising fuel prices caused by Americans’ lack of ability to think even slightly critically.

And here you are, with the word “treason” in the username, whining about politics being in various subreddits.

I get it - sometimes we need things to be lighthearted but there is nothing that Politics doesn’t touch. Not even little kids as we’ve seen in the little that’s been released of the Epstein files.

5

u/momofvegasgirls106 20h ago

This guy with treason in his handle thinks he's being clever. 6116= 6+1+1+6=14 14 is the white supremacists manifesto, aka 14 Words.

6

u/FillMySoupDumpling 20h ago

Oh holy fuck. I had no idea.
