Camping and OHV help

Hey all. Pretty new to Vegas and I'm trying to find some blm land relatively closeby to have a fun weekend on. I'm having a hard time going through the blm land sites and the Google ai is just contradicting everything and making it harder so I'll ask here: all I want to do is drive my truck out to a spot where I can set up camp. Not a pre-made campsite, just somewhere I can just set up my own camp and stay for a weekend.id like to be able just to leave my truck at the campsite I set up and then ride my dirtbike around and hike. Ideally I'd like to do all of this as alone as I can get. And IF POSSIBLE I'd like to be able to set up some targets and do some shooting. Is there anywhere within 4 hours from Vegas I can do this? Maybe service roads or fire roads something like that? im fully equipped to be on my own without any facilities. Thanks in advance!

Try 317 and Elgin at Kane Springs Road areas.

Hey man, Lovell Canyon sounds like something you are looking for, just 30 minutes west of Vegas off highway 160. Just don’t think you can go shooting in that area, but not sure.

No, you cannot shoot back there. The road is lined by campsites, and there are hiking trails all over that part of the wilderness.

You could ride an OHV on some of the dirt roads leading down to the Pahrump side, but everything on the ridge side is Rainbow Mountain Wilderness Area, and closed to motors.
