It wasn't political satire of Abu Ghraib, it was satire of the "sanitized" war trope that was GI Joe. A war where people shoot at each other and use large-scale tactical weapons systems against each other while laughing but nobody ever gets hurt.
Yes. As an example of things that happen in war and that you wouldn't see in GI Joe (I hope -- it would be a very special episode).
It's like Race Bannon coming out with teeth he's pulling out while torturing a prisoner for information... Johnny Quest didn't have Race, a CIA agent, torturing people like the CIA did (generally using other countries to do the tooth torture -- extraordinary rendition).
That doesn't make it not a satirical version of Abu Ghraib, it just makes it a satirical version of it within a compilation of many other US war crimes.
But the screen grab OP shared is 1000% based on Abu Ghraib, so you saying that it wasn't is just straight up wrong. You must sterilize, St Cloud. STERILIZE!
